    You give me so much hope! I’m on my 4th pregnancy. I’ve had 2 miscarriages and 1 stillborn. I’ve been praying soooo much for God to let me bring my beautiful baby girl home this time!! I’m 22 weeks 3 days and I’m praying to make it to 32 weeks. I have soooo many obstacles in my way, BUT, I know God is faithful!! I see what He has brought you through and I have hope!! Yesterday I was reading/pouring over the book of Daniel. And this morning your video popped up where you and your husband were reading the book of Daniel; I literally burst into tears!!!! Yesterday while reading about Daniel in the lions den the song by Sanctus Reel came on and the first line is “give me faith like Daniel in the lions den” of course I cried at that as well! I’ll be praying for you guys 💖 and I would love if you could pray for me and my little girl Abigail as well 💖💖🌈🌈🌈

    I absolutely LOVE the fact that you said you were praying for healing and that’s exactly what you’re getting through these doctors! So many people, including myself, just expect a miracle without medical intervention and when that doesn’t always happen no longer consider the healing a miracle. But it is! God is working THROUGH these physicians to answer prayers. Amazing. I love y’all’s faith and love for God. You are inspirational. Thank you for continuing to share your story.

    I'm so glad the procedure is finally over. This procedure wasn't an option when my mom was pregnant with me back in the late 70's, but I don't wish it was. I'm meant to be the way I am. It's hard at times but life is good. I'm glad you and baby are alright.

    I just read in my devotional this morning, how the author watched a couple with their newborn baby that had many physical problems, and he heard the mother say “God is so good, He has answered all of our prayers”. I heard you say this in the middle of this video, and it blessed me, because those who truly love and believe in the Lord, put all of their hope and trust in Him! Prayers and blessings to your sweet family!!

      Alice Roche honestly, as someone who was once the first person to tell someone that it’s ‘statistics/doctors not God’, there is a time and place for discussion of atheism. This ain’t it. Hopefully one day you’ll realize that even a lot of doctors believe that God works through them to help people. Or how many scholars of many fields are followers of Jesus. Faith transcends academia my friend.

    I was watching “call the midwife “ and the episode was about a birth of a baby with spinal bífida ( just started watching it)and how the mom took time to really love her son and his condition. I admire you, I had a baby with Cornelia De Lange syndrome and when they showed him to me and quickly took him away to be hospitalized for months, I thought I would die of sadness. But I see you so strong! God bless you, you’re doing great! You are a wonderful mommy and I’m sure you can’t wait to meet your little one ❤️

And it’s in the fire that He is rescuing us! 💕

    My sister was born with severe spinal bifida over 40 years ago. She had several surgeries in the 1st few weeks of her life, BUT.... today she’s married, has 3 boys, skis, rides horses and whatever else she wants to do. God definitely did a miracle in her body. My parents lost my 7 yr old brother in June, (due to a drunk driver hitting him) and my sister was born in October. My parents prayed a begged God to let her live, God answered that prayer and SO MUCH MORE! I’m praying you all receive the same miracle. The only way you can tell my sister has anything is the scar on her back and she grows the most beautiful hair (like baby hair) in her back. Sometimes she shaves it sometimes she doesn’t, but it’s just a reminder of how great our God truly is. Prayers and hugs!

    If your incision hurts when you walk, etc. Ask them if you can wear a belly wrap to take the pressure off. I had an incision like yours from cancer surgery and it REALLY helped.

    That breathing test thing is TERRIBLE!! Lol.
    When I was younger, my parents told me they would give me an IPod if I got to the line the doctors wrote on it. I about turned myself blue, I never got there so my parents got me an iPod anyway. Praying for fast recovery

    Does your anesthesia stop the baby from feeling pain during the surgery and after? Modern medicine is absolutely amazing but that has been on my mind.

    • @toughgirl6837
      @toughgirl6837 4 года назад +7

      Angela James Yes it does. Medications cross the placental barrier. The baby will be fine.

      @@toughgirl6837 That is a relief. I can't imagine any doctor, no matter how genius, would open the back of a fetus knowing it would feel the procedure.

      Babies at this gestational age don't have the neural capacity to experience pain.

    • @angelajames7917
      @angelajames7917 4 года назад +17

      @@1Jennamo how would they really know? They said the nerves weren't damaged, so the baby has a nervous system. I am sure the surgeons know what they are doing. Children, animals, and the elderly in pain hits me hard.

    • @1Jennamo

      @@angelajames7917 because just because you have the structure of something doesn't mean that it yet has the ability to function the same way it does as a fetus/baby matures. Think of it this way - a fetus/baby has physical lungs very early on in a pregnancy...that doesn't mean it has the capacity to function the same way it would when it is full developed. Nerves (sensory since we are talking about pain) are kind of like highways on information. Having the structure means the road is mapped out ...and as the fetus gets more mature in utero, those highways eventually get paved, then eventually cars (pain signals) start to move on them and then the whole other step is the brain having to be mature enough to be able to interpret those signals and figure out what it means. We know how/where the brain receives and processes signals from functional MRIs and a bunch of other medical mumbo-jumbo....but bottom line is that a fetus/baby starts to experience pain the the way that we think of pain at about 23/24 weeks.
      I'm not getting into the abortion debate but I'm going to add this in for those that care. There's that story out on the web that people have seen fetus who are being aborted through means of "vacuums" and seem to be reacting and people have interpreted it as "evidence of pain" ....a reaction to something does not equal pain. Think of this: you touch a stove, you feel pain, you jolt your body back. That is a reaction to PAIN. Someone jumps out at you, your body jolts, that's not PAIN but for someone who doesn't know the context, you could interpret both as a reaction to pain.
      What we know is that the brain of a fetus less than about 23 weeks doesn't have the capacity to feel pain because though the primitive structures are there, they are not fully formed of functioning nor does the brain have the ability to process the signals where we know pain signals are interpreted.
