Other Notes:
On a sub zero MLK day, Bruin and I found ourselves at this rather comical looking Sterling in Harborcreek Twp. Someone went to town making a custom housing, and well, yeah. And yes, that horrible rattling noise is the housing. I was a bit worried if this siren would go as the last time someone tried filming this the county said they don't test the east zone; however, right at 1:00PM the dispatcher toned out the zone and this sluggish Sterling slowly came to life. This one, despite being 16/16 port, has a very similar windup and pitch to the East Butler, PA Sterling I filmed a few years ago. This thing was super quiet, but that shouldn't surprise anyone. Enjoy!

The undertone it makes when it shakes that housing is just something else.
That housing is just something else. I thought the one in East Butler was cool but this takes the cake, for sure.
If you think this one of goofy you should see St Michael, PA's sterling at Adam's twp volunteer fire company no 2. I didn't even know it was a sterling till I heard it and checked it on maps. It's on a big rusty tower beside the fire dept
Just checked street view and I have no words… 😂😂
For the longest time I was wondering if this thing tested with the county. Nice video!
It Kinda Sounds Like an Allertor. But not Exactly.
Wow that motor is fried like mozzarella sticks Jese o man 😂😂😂
Dave and I thought this was a champion for the longest time.
This is the absolute most cursed looking thing I think I've ever seen other than Elkhart Lake's Type B
You obviously have never seen Lick Hill's Sterling then
@@lukemicsky3086 Oh I've seen it, in fact I was planning on taking a trip there and seeing if they would be nice enough to set it off for me and my mom (and take photos) but we never did. I still think this looks more cursed though
Wow, this sounds great!
Sounds like a lawnmower on steroids
Sweet!
What time does this go off during those specific days?
1PM?
yes 1PM
this is cool but odd haha, though i have to say i feel this unit isnt reaching its full pitch for some reason 🤔 might there be something up with it or sorts ?
i’m almost positive it’s running off of 120V as the one in East Butler sounds the exact same and runs on 120
@@sirensofneohio3979I'm more than certain this is three phase, getting full power regardless. It likely needs an oil change.
@@Sipex6484 If the bearings were THAT stiff then its wind down would last 5 seconds at most.
>8D
That is awful.
wtf
