    If you pause, catch up, then watch, pause again, etc., this comes together quite easily. Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern.

    Thank you so much! You are Fabulous. I am a beginner, had no troubles at all and i just hit the pause button to catch up. Huge love to you, so grateful for you sharing your knowledge-i hope you know how much joy you are giving to us all xo

    I like this video and pattern. It is beautiful in the simplicity of the motif. I made several pairs for my nieces in red, white and blue. They loved them! They ran around those house and kept posing for me to show off their "pretty" feet! Thank you for the easy to follow video. It is perfect!

    I 'm a beginner and not even familiar with the English terms for the knots, and I had no problem following. Just learn to hit the pause button, people!

    My 9 year old daughter followed your tutorial and finished two sets of barefoot sandals in no time! We will both wear them for my wedding day coming up soon… she was so happy when she heard you said “it will be perfect for a (beach) wedding” 🤍 she’d love to send you a photo of the result…

    dear Kristin, you do beautiful work, any one who can't under stand should start a beginners "slow"video. I think you are doing a great job, keep it up. I have seen this kind of lave crochet for hand and wrists. Is that done the same way? Do you iron your work after finishing?

    I enjoyed the faster pace. some vids are so slow and go over silly stuff ppl should know that it's downright annoying. personally I plan to fav you and enjoy cutting thru the bull and getting to the meat and potatoes lol.

    Okay, I love your video, very nice pattern and the instructions were great.
    One thing though: the intro to your video is so loud and sudden it almost made me turn off the video. I'm glad I didn't, but just a heads up.

    I liked pace but finished product (petal) doesn't sit well across the foot. Maybe less stitches?

    I love the way this pattern looks in the video and pictures! I've tried making it twice now and it comes out ... floppy? I think is the right word. Like the middle loops are too big and doesn't fit snug. Any recommendations? Thanks! :)

    • @KristinOmdahl
      @KristinOmdahl  3 года назад

      Without seeing yours or knowing if you used the same yarn or had the same gauge as me, it is pretty hard to determine what went wrong for you. But maybe you could re-do with reduced chains in the chain spaces to make them smaller.

      I've tried to make it more clear but my language doesn't help :D
      I got really mad that I cut them with scissors, so I can't have any photos right now :D
      I'm trying it again hope it gets right this time, but if not where to send you the photos?

    • @JudyAbbott494

      The sides are not flat on the foot. It doesn't take the shape of the body so it buckles. Does that make any sense? :D

    I have been admiring this idea. I actually have a pair of old sandals that are a similar shade of your yarn, Harbor Fog, and sort of a yellow/green shade combination. What I'm not sure about is I was thinking about combining these two colors around the horizontal strap at the toe area of the shoe (they are a slip on, there is no back to the shoe, and they are about a 2" wedge" and add the yarn directly to the shoe, and create it similar to this pattern to be wound around my ankle. I am just not sure I should create an actual flower as you are making in this video. Do you have another pattern that might be a simpler design to add to the shoe with an existing horizontal strap?

    • @KristinOmdahl
      @KristinOmdahl  8 лет назад

      You just need the chain straps, right? That should be easy enough to do. Watch one of my videos on crocheting onto fabric to see how to secure the chain straps to your existing shoes.

      tamara bukta it's okay you just have to pause it and catch up with it, that's what I do

    • @irmar
      @irmar 6 лет назад +6

      You're not supposed to follow, but see how each part is done, pause, do it, rewind if needed to see a detail you didn't understand and so on. Otherwise videos for bigger items would take HOURS!

    • @carriekane416
      @carriekane416 6 лет назад +1

      Tamara, I thought it was too fast too, even with pausing it was hard to catch what she was doing at first, so then I tapped on the three dots at the top right corner, clicked on Playback Speed, then you can choose any of the speeds that are above the Normal speed to slow it down, I had to choose the second one that made it go half the speed, but it made it much easier to follow until I got the hang of the pattern

    After you already did 2 12-chain loops, you said "do 8 more", and only after doing exactly as you instructed, I ended up with 10 loops, only to have you later on say that we "should now have 8 loops", so obviously I had to take out 2 of the loops. You should be a bit more careful with your instructions.

    R you kidding me you start off with a double knot for your starting loop . Not the way to start crocheting!
