I drove one for 27 years and loved every minute of it. The most fun was scaring my Capt.'s when they thought I couldn't pull the rig through a spot. To this day, when I get into a tight spot, I tell my wife, " I can put a fire truck through there ".To all of my Brothers out there driving, be safe and have fun.
Love tillers. Best fire apparatus ever invented.
Thanks
Except 99% of them don't carry water
@Johnny’s Bricks well that's the point I'm trying to get across smart one.
Most ladder trucks in Canada Cary water
@@limemonster2295 that’s what engines and tankers are for
2:09 that Peace sign was cool to see from the firefighters, even tho theyre working they can still interact with the community even if its small like that lol
Awesome video of tillers.Gotta love them.especially FDJC truck 3.tillers rule.
Thanks
Love those Tillers. My favorite.
Thanks
This county is why tillers were invented. Damn they got some right corners.
Yup
That old Harrison Tiller ❤️
Yup I miss it
If I ever see a tiller responding I'm going to get it they're the most popular fire trucks in the world
Cool
@@SkylerFire very cool indeed
Epic compilation!!! My favorite was Jersey City ladder 3 because it’s a spartan
Yeah it’s trash tho always OOS
I’m curious to know if they are going to replace it
@@SkylerFire, that sounds like Mount Vernon tower 1.
0:14 what is going on with the driver of that Honda?
Always wanted to drive the tiller!!!
Hahaha
The doors opened!!! Lmao! Someone almost blew the doors off leaving them opened here!
great video nice job filming
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video.People are so ignorant to fire trucks and first responders.Cant believe that white car.Stay safe and healthy.
Thanks
No because it turns there into a wall.
@@fdjcengine2 thought i missed something there lol.
now that's drivin' baby !!
Yup
Buddy from Cake Boss brother-in-law is a firefighter for Harrison he’s a lieutenant
Yes he’s a Captain now
You know the boys from Harrison are having a ton of fun now with that new ladder of theirs. "We got these bright new LEDs, this wicked loud siren, this horn what sounds like a ship in the harbor. Oh yea!"
Not a fan of the electronic sirens, prefer the traditional sounds. I do like the red and yellow chevrons, they make it really easy to spot a fire truck day or night in any weather.
Yeah I hear ya
I have only seen those (tiller fire trucks) in the states, we don't have those in Canada.... @ least not where I live near Toronto.
Yup because we have tight streets
I was curious so I did a little Google search. Quebec City FD has at least one tiller.
@@KMRN-nx8hw Interesting. Thanks for the info.
Makes sense actually, because Quebec city has many old narrow streets like European cities.
3abbosi, I was just pointing out that your comment that “we don’t have those in Canada” is not true. I’m sure you meant it as a broad statement, but I proved that there are tiller’s in Canada. 🙂
👍👍🧑🚒🚒🇺🇲
Thanks
A couple of the streets shown, just plain old and narrow or narrowed by traffic, show the advisability of Tillers.
Yup
which narrow streets did you see? We don't have any Tillers here
Awesome!
Thanks
Nice compilation skyler
Thanks
Love your videos
Thanks
Union City woot woot!
Yeah
Does anyone know if the guy on the back of the tiller has to turn his steering wheel the opposite way from the front driver? Thought I saw that years ago.
Yes
Yes
What powercall was on NHRFD L5?
No idea
Sounds like either a sho me 30.2220 or 30.2330
Who uses tillers in Hudson ?? Essex?? Counties
Hudson County
Harrison - 1
Jersey City - 1 Front Line 1 Spare
North Hudson - 3 Front Line 3 Spare
Essex County None
That first tillers horn was a little weird or is it just me
Ok
0:41 eq2b?
Yup
3 man truck companies huh.....ehh ooook. i don't even think 3 on an engine is acceptable.
It’s now 4-5
Ha! We run 1 man per station... Granted we don't have any tillers. And we rely on tankers/tenders mostly for water supply.
Unfortunately it happens in most cities. It’s about economics.
ISO could care less.
They are passing out Class 1 ratings like they hand out bottles of water after a hurricane. Everyone can get one.
Most paid departments are set up that way. It’s the same way down here in Hagerstown MD
Question, i noticed that Ladder 4 came out of Ladder 1's station and vice versa, could be that Ladder 1 is too long in length for Ladder 1's station? or maybe it's the street width etc? I'm assuming the newer tillers have the larger cabs.
Not understanding what you mean
and the winner is definitely Harrison Ladder 1, for its morphing capability's, actually real fireman know how to use the spot lights as emergency lights, that's big city stuff right there. lol.
Lol
