Thanks. I still have to pull the plug wires off without breaking them. Those are also jammed.

If they’ve been in there awhile, I would grab a wire set with the plugs you’ll needum

Using an extension makes more sense, why go looking for trouble removing the tubes ? I would kinda like to do a compression test in mine while the plugs are out, but my pressure guage is hand held and reqires you press a rubber cork in the hole and hold with your hand while you turn the engine over. I may not bother but it seems the thing to do is start spraying in the tubes with wd40 before removing the plugs and allow it to soak a day or two and then blow the tubes out with compressed air to hopefully clear the crud out and allow your socket to seat properly on the hex of the plug.

I couldn't get the 5/8 socket on one of the plugs due to the dumb metal spark tube cause all the debris gets down in the tube and covers the spark plug socket part. It took me 4 hrs to get that damn metal heat shield off. It's a very poor manufacturing problem. The sheilds get rusted to the head and they just don't pop off. Well if your lucky they might in your truck.
