Fantastic footage from he SVR Mike, The Severn Valley is definatly the premier preserved railway in the UK in my humble opinion. Thanks so much for sharing this video Mike. Best regards mate, Colin.
Colin I think I must agree with you, ok I've filmed these locos many times before but its great to see what we had when we got into this hobby. Thank you for watching, keep well and safe this week with the poor weather up your way, regards Mike.
Fantastic video mate, this was a great gala. Was fantastic to see 1450 back in service, even though she was only providing heating. I had some good trips down the line with 50035 and on the DMU drag with the 14
Great video of footage at the SVR. Different seasons bring different backdrops but the railway always delivers. I’m looking forward to the May Diesel Festival already.
thanks for this film. we were on the double 20s, HST south and DMU out and back to Highley. Met gm of GCR malcolm on the DMU having a day off. Caroline.
Yes Andrew it was a fantastic day as there wasn't many late running trains so that helps to keep to where I was going to film the certain locos. Thank you for your comment and a Happy New Year to you, regards Mike.
Wonderful footage Mike and the weather was kind, what a day you had! Super traction on offer there and i particularly liked the dutch liveried 33, one of my favourite loco classes. As always you find the best locations to film from. Wishing you all the very best for the New Year, cheers Nick.
Superb shots and captures Mike. Excellent shots from you, good action from there. Another gooden from you. Great way to end the year for you, Happy new year and all the best as well. Enjoyed this, cheers Jamie
Hiya Jamie, thanks for watching my videos from all parts of the country, who knows we might bump into each other in 2025 again. So Happy New Year to you, regards Mike.
Yes indeed my day on the SVR was spot on, weather was good, there was some late trains but no problems with the locos on the day which is always good. Thank you for watching my videos in 2024
Great video Mike 😎👍🏽 Happy New Year 🙂🍾 Great to see “Ark Royal” still going strong 😎👍🏽 The last time I saw 50035 was on 25th July 1984 when it hauled my train home between Birmingham New Street and Cardiff on the 1V92 Glasgow/Edinburgh-Swansea, a lively run too as 1V92 was typically late (this time 45 late leaving New Street)…great loco’s…great memories 😎👍🏽
You tell me some amazing time from the great days of Diesel haulage from the good day when we had a decent railway. Thank you very much for watching this and all the other videos I have uploaded this year. I don't think I will be up late to see the new year in but a Happy New Year mate.
@ Thanks Mike…they were great days, I was growing up in the 1980’s as a teenager and we were spoilt then with a fantastic railway & traction 😎👍🏽 Happy New year mate - keep making your great videos in 2025 😎🍾👍🏽🎉🎉

Super video to round off 2024....here's to lots more in 2025
Thanks Matthew, hope your day went to plan on Monday.
It seems strange to see HST's running on preserved lines when I remember riding them brand new!
I get what you mean but I think it’s a great idea to keep one on the SVR, but I just hope they decide to do that.
Cheers for watching.
