Thanks. It will be up for sale in January as we will be moving onto the Narrowboat and don’t just want to leave the caravan in storage indefinitely. Still happy with her and nothing has really let us down.
@@PaulMatsonMOTM thanks but we have just ordered a swift sprite major 4 EB vogue edition from Spinney in Deeside north Wales , due March 22. Yours is a corker I must admit. You get a great price for it I'm sure , only just got onto your vlogs on RUclips , wish I'd seen them earlier, some great ideas on there thanks 👍
Hi just found your channel we are massive caravanning fans been touring for quite a while love your set up , great vlog my husband was most impressed with your description of your fridge , “ were you keep all the beers and the odd pint of milk “ 😂 💕🏴
Angela. K Pleased you like our setup. The fridge is a very important bit of kit in the outfit. I occasionally have to concede some fridge space when we are staying close to a Marks and Spencer Food Hall but one shelf is certainly sacrosanct (as a min) and at least 50% of the door space for Chardonnay and Champagne (oh and a bottle of milk). Thanks for following. Hopefully some of the other vlogs on our channel will be of interest. I only do them for fun and will try and resist advertising.
Hello we have the swift elegance grande 635 also would like to ask when u walk through the door and look above your head to the roof have you ever noticed a bulge in the roof it is more noticeable on a night with the lights on.??
Hi, I haven’t noticed a bulge where you mentioned although we have an AC unit fitted that may be in a similar location to your bulge. I have however noticed what I thought was a long bulge or pronounced seam in the ceiling above the island bed almost 2 feet from the wall. However I have proved to myself that this is actually only the effect caused by the lighting. It’s amazing how convinced I was that I had a really bad seam when in fact it is perfect. I would suggest looking closer with the lighting off or maybe use a straight edge to check. We are back out in the caravan tomorrow so will have another look. If I have a bulge I’ll let you know. Thanks for following. Regards Paul
Thanks Vinish pleased you like it. I'm working on the editing and i'm sure I'll get to the stage of the videos being acceptable to me at some point. Still end up longer than I expect - try to keep them around the 10 minutes next time.
To level it is OK, to put the locks on is OK but to level it AND put the locks on is a real challenge. Having said that we have managed although we have had a few slips with the van falling off the jack etc. I have now removed the wheel locks from our insurance policy so just use planks to level. We pull onto the pitch; check level across the axle with a spirit level; pull forward; install planks and reverse the caravan up onto the planks. In hindsight I wish I had the E&P levelling system (just the half kit) ie. the rams across the axle. Levelling front and back is easy. In my mind, Swift are wrong to allow caravans to leave their factory with locks and no E&P as it is not safe to level and lock without E&P (or similar).
jampot20000 I have two. Both about 20mm thick and 200mm wide. One longer than the other so that if you need to use both under the one wheel you can run the van up onto one then the other.
Sold the caravan in January and we are now narrowboating. Narrowboating was always our plan as we had a boat before we went to work abroad. Got the caravan to see a few places while the boat was being procured/built. Thanks for following.
Only just had the opportunity/time to watch your vlog. Thanks for posting. Having only just hit the magic 66 age we're thinking of changing our van and wondering if it'd be better to go for a twin axle. Obviously I've heard that they are considered to be more stable than a single axle, but would love to ask if the ride in the towcar is also improved and less 'harsh' felt through the hitch and into the car? This would inevitably mean a change from our current tow car, a Mazda CX5 2WD automatic to something beefier such as the Volvo XC90 or XC60 possibly, or a VW Touareg, so might I ask how you arrived at the Volvo as car of choice please? Many thanks.
I have never towed with a single axle caravan although I’ve had a lot of experience towing single axle trailers. I feel the twin axle really stabilises the vehicle. Firstly the van is more stable on four wheels rather than two but the twin axle arrangement avoids the van dropping into potholes or hollows in the road as the other wheel carries it over. It is therefore much improved and I would say much less ‘harsh’ felt in the tow car. For me I also think that having a puncture is less disabling as the other tyre would allow you to get to safety. (As long as you have something to let you know you have a puncture - I use and would recommend the Tyrepal system ). Enjoy your retirement and good luck with the new van purchase.

ruclips.net/video/PWtTUbLwBL8/видео.html Is that a Huawei B525. Can you have it in bridge mode to connect to the site wifi and then rebroadcast ? Seeing mixed reviews
Sorry I missed your query. It is a B525 and I was lead to believe it could be used as a bridge but as yet I haven't found it possible as I have an unlimited data package. It would have been useful in France and Spain though as my roaming data package is capped and could do with connecting to site wifi source. I'll try and find out when I get back to Blighty in late February. Other than this unknown it has been a great piece of kit with faultless performance on both Three and Vodafone networks at different times and has never dropped out.
Lovely van, great size, great layout, thanks for showing your pride and joy 👍

Great video - if the problem with the waterhog persists, try an aqua roll instead 👍🏼

How do you find levelling a twin axle caravan? So far we have been lucky and pitches have been level. Thanks James
