- This is a quick test with my new recording set up. The playing gets a little sloppy at the end, but I just wanted to capture the tone of the amp and the pedal for this quick clip.

You should compare this and the SSV2. I bought a ssv2 and stacked it up against my QR. needless to say, the quick rod stayed and the ssv2 was sent back. The QR is still the king of all Marshall’s. KSR Juno is second and then the SSv2.
I absolutely loved my Quick Rod. It was my main amp for a decade. Whenever I played live, I'd get at least a handful of people telling me they loved my sound. My QR had a Heyboer too. Sadly I sold it, but I'm definitely buying a new one when I can!
@@sir.shreddington mine has the same transformer. Put KT88 in it and it’s better than ever.
@@duck2587 nice dude. Mine had el34, and was insanely punchy. Always wanted to try kt88s in my QR. I suspect that the larger bass and treble response from the tubes would compliment the QR really well

Bro, that was fantastic. I've got a QR myself, and I've been really interested in getting a boost pedal. I was thinking about getting a Maxon 808, but after hearing this I'm really interested in the Dead Horse. What is your opinion of the Dead Horse in comparison to the Maxon 808 or any other of the more common boost pedals?
Hi, and thanks! I have both pedals, and I like the Dead Horse better. I have tried a lot of OD pedals and the Dead Horse remains my fav. It's a bit more pricey, but you can't go wrong!
