- On February 3, 2019 Nayib Bukele was elected president of El Salvador with one of the highest majorities in the Central American nation’s history. His election also marks the first time a third party candidate won the presidency since the 1992 Peace Accords. His election takes place at an opportune moment for El Salvador and U.S.-Salvadoran relations.

La nueva era de elsalvador esta cambiando porque lo pude ver hace 3 meses que fui al Salvador i observe muchos soldados en las calles in Cluso platique con ellos i les comente del buen trabajo que realizan ellos eso lo agradecieron mucho i parte yo quería comprarles un desayuno alos soldados de esa de apartamento de san Miguel una comida para que ellos se incentiven en proteger la comunidad en general les dice gracias pero me quedé con la duda si ellos querían comer algo porque los mire un poco agotados de caminar mucho
Tanbien las fuerzas armadas merecen un poco de nuestro agradecimiento no solo de cuidame i lla estuvo no todos merecen respeto ique Dios los ilumine ensu camino gracias al presidente por dar hordenes presisas para salva aguarda la integridad dela gente en san Miguel i el Salvador pronto boy en diciembre para para ofrecerle una comida para los soldados de esa ciudad de san Miguel i que se sientan bien
Me gustaría en futuro servir al pueblo salvadoreño para postularse algún cargo público aunque sea el minino lo importante no es mucho que sea sino servir con valentía i hacer respetar la ley i la justicia nose si enmi caso silo pueda hacer porque boy hacer ciudadano americano pero nacido en el Salvador nose si se pueda pero si es así aquí estoy desde el otro lado del mundo todos contra uno i unos contra todos
El camino es largo para que el Salvador se libera de tantas ratas pero ba en una buena dirección gracias al presidente es lo bueno de tener gente dispuesta atrabajar para el país para su gente no para yenarce los bolsillos de dinero creo que si algún día trabaja en algo para elsalvador no cobraría nada lo donaria porque no es necesario creo que hay más gente necesitada de un techo i lomas primordiale la comida un plan para la gente mayor que tanto andado al país i que ya merecen des cansar dignamente i un buen plan de nutrición para los niños desde muy chicos para radicar el hambre esque esmucho trabajo por hacer pero si se puede con el pueblo todo sin el pueblo nada
Esta pregunta ba para el señor presidente de el Salvador que podemos hacer para que el país no caiga en manos de tiranos como los areneros o fmln no queremos a esos in ignorantes de nuevo en el país podría redactar una carta que diga que para ser presidente de el Salvador sería requisito saber hablar inglés para queno demos vergüenza como los antes pasados presidente que parecían dinosaurios viejos de crépitos rateros

For reals, I feel real proud of this man representing the country my father was born in. When I'm hearing how good this president's english is, he amazes me. And the points and the idea he has, the one that I applaud the most is the part of when they offered aid, he said "we dont want aid, we want to do business with you." And yes, most salvadoreans are hard working people and all salvadoreans are looking for are opportunities, most salvadoreans.
This man has a history of corruption while he was the mayor of the capital and did not even graduate from college. He is only a populist that won over the people of the country making promises he cannot deliver. His government plan was a joke for two reasons:
First of all he copied all of it from the internet
Then, while the presidencial race was on, he never explicitly said what he was going to do, he only said that he wasn't like the others
He refused to partake in every debate because he knew that he was going to get destroyed by the other (smarter) candidates
But hey I'm glad that the fact that he can speak english makes you happy

For a while I was and felt embarrassed to said I was from El Salvador, because all the padilleros, criminals and the politicians, thank you Mr. President Bukele for making every Salvadorian leaving out of our beloved Country proud. Much love!!!
The speech the president spoke in this video made me feel amazed simply when he said “ we don’t want aid, we want to do business with the United States. Also he talked about immigration problems. He’s so right because %95 of our people leaves El Salvador because #1 high crime rate and murder and #2 lack of jobs in poor communities. I grew up in Sonsonate in one very small town which it was very very dangerous. I got robbed, beat up, and even got lots of death threats many times throughout my childhood. I’m 24 now and I left my country when I was 17. I’ve been here in the US for about 8 years now and to be honest after hearing this speech I want to go back to my country and put on test what I’ve learned here in the US. Being able to make a huge impact in my country because why not? After all we do not have as many rules as the United States, therefore people has taken advantage to either make a difference in the country or just make it worst. Wish me luck all of you. I’m heading back by the end of this year. I might do video updates in my second channel.

It's gonna be a tricky to avoid getting a hard-time, hopefully they will let him _lead_ .
El Salvador known as el Pulgarcito of central America. El salvador where many Americans have decided to retired to. Some of them have decided to leave America and move there either after their religious missions or after taking a vacation. I personally just returned from El Salvador and honestly it was very emotional leaving it. There's many things that should change there and i noticed a few that gave me a great feeling of safety and protection. But in many small town and some bigger cities are the gangs that really screw things up. Many of these town if they don't know who you are or if you have a tattoo you are a target. People will tell you don't drive dont go there, but if you have to drive through there lower your very black tinted windows so you don't get confused with cops.
El Salvador is very nice. I just returned from Hawaii three days ago and i would have rather spent all my money and all my time going to el Salvador. I regret my Hawaiian trip. I enjoyed el Salvador 100% more.
Planning a trip back at the end of this year for a month. If any of you ever think of a trip to el Salvador i can map a few great stops and Airbnb locations rental cars etc.
I also have been to this great little country and totally agree it is very underrated as a tourist destination. I traveled the whole country, everywhere I went I felt safe and welcomed. I will be going back again next year.

He is Center Left. He used to be part of the left party but after so much corruption he decided to run as an independent. Both political parties tried to block him from running as an independent, so the only way he could run for president was by creating a new political party.
Oscr Castro if you look at the parties platform they lean right. Also if you look at the history of his party they split from ARENA which is a right wing party
