His song Cold is one of my favorites. There isn't an official video for it but there is a video of him doing it live at the CMAs I believe

I must admit, this one is new for me. I was never fond of bluegrass, blues, country and similar genres.
But I can recognize a good song and a great voice, when I hear one, and this song has it all.
Also, as I'm from Poland, his singing style bears to me an uncanny resemblance with this old, polish band "Dżem" and its leader, late Ryszard Riedel. Listen to some of the band's songs sung by Riedel, you'll know, what I mean.

You should hear some from the bluegrass group he was in called The Steel Drivers. Blue side of the mountain is the one you should see. He is a generational talent, period!

He wrote "I Was Wrong", he is a master shredder on the guitar. You should watch, "White Horse" live at CMA awards (he wrote it that, too); "Cold" live at the CMA's (another one he wrote), Chris is quite an artist of the caliber that is once in a lifetime. He's actually very stage-shy and his wife, Morgane often performs with him. Have fun with this! BTW, his live, in MY opinion, are better than the studio stuff. But, it's a matter of preference.

Chris is the man, absolutely no doubt!
If you haven't already heard Sometimes i cry live at Bing lounge you should.
Since you are into guitars you should definetely check out Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I recommend Texas Flood live at el Mocambo and Tin Pan Alley live at Montreux to get you started.

I concur. Except for the "Sometimes I Cry" version. As good as that performance was....his live studio performance in front of a group of studio and radio executives was/is MUCH better!!! It's far more bluesy and jazzy. And sorry to say....the electric guitar is just simply better.

Damn girl. I went through your video catalog and didn’t see any Stevie Ray Vaughan. If you love hearing a Fender then you’ll love SRV. He played a 1959 Fender Strat. With such precision and speed. I just think you ought to do yourself a favor and give him a listen. Think you’ll love it. Thanks

After scanning through your videos sets, It appears that you haven't watched anything from Stevie Ray Vaughn, THE consummate Texas Blues guitar player. An excellent introduction to him would be his performance of "Texas Flood" live at the El Mocambo.
    Prepare yourself for GREATNESS!

you named all my influences in my guitar journey over the last 45 yrs was around alot of musicians growing up got to see some amazing guitar players including my uncles. got to see zz top in the studio in the late 70s as a kid dad was a engineer that was probably my biggest influence Billy gibbons making his guitar smoke. and I learned how he got that reverb from his strings and I still use it. it takes some practice but the results is worth it.. a hint its all done with a thin pick by holding it just right. ✌

Yeahhhh, is he really "country"? I'd be more inclined to group him with smooth guitar guys like SRV, Jeff Healy, Billy Gibbons and Ayron Jones. He's *real* good. Rock on! 🤘😎👍

If you haven’t already you have to check out “life without you live at capital theatre” by Stevie ray Vaughan, in many circles he is considered the GOAT when it come to the guitar and the guitar playing by Stevie in this song will blow your hair back.
