- "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult is next up on our "Covers for a Cause" release schedule, landing on Halloween, 10/31. We recorded this with our dear friend and cellist extraordinaire Dave Eggar for our 2020 Halloween Spooktacular. This is one of my favorite songs of all time and thus, this recording is one of my favorite things we've ever done as a band. Collaborating with such an amazing musician as Dave made it all the more special. We hope you'll enjoy it during your All Hallows festivities and year round. One of the most stunningly beautiful versions I’ve ever heard! But (and I can’t believe nobody has mentioned this yet) it’s not “Don’t Fear The Reaper” without more cowbell!
I hear both North Carolina and Tennessee accents in there. Love this!!! A lot of bluegrass influence.
