- Shadows House is underrated. It's an anime that aired during Spring 2021 and not many people have seen it, let alone heard of it. So I decided to talk about Shadows House myself. Here's my review and analysis of Shadows House. Hope y'all enjoy the video!

Yeah, finally someone talks about this masterpiece. The original source of this anime, (a fully colored manga, isnt that awesome?) is one of the best i've read in such a long time. I really love the duality between kate and her living doll emilyko. Their unique bond, their curiosity, and their attempt to uncover the shadow house's secret is the main driving force of this series. Tbh, the mistery itself isnt that complicated, i mean the living dolls must be a human right ( no human can produce soot spontaneously), istead the process to uncover it is the most interesting part of this series. The character is pretty interesting, we can feel the shadowmasters emotion and agitation despite they have no face.
It would be hard to represent the characters in a non colord manga lol
The one that altered the storyline was the writer of shadow house himself if you read his Twitter. The main reason is because he wanted to adjust it just in case shadow house only got 1 season and he didn’t want to leave any major questions, like who “Robe-sama” is since she only appeared in a scene in season 1.
when the mystery was revealed about "living dolls" and mystery of grandfather it was quite exciting
Living dolls was not a mystery lol, you should know it from the first ep
This was such a unique series with a great premise. I love how imaginative it is and wish there was more.

People cry for the lack of originality in Anime (big anime / manga youtubers).
But when you have a gem like Shadows House, it get ignored in favor of an other Shonen or Isekai with a story we already saw hundreds times...
I'm surprised I've never heard of this one, definitely gotta give it a watch. Great video man!
Shadows house gets more interesting the more u watch and it’s a really great show! I’m sad it’s no well known bc it’s hard to find others that have heard of it! I hope this show gets popular bc it deserves more!!

To Your Eternity was actually the other main one I was deciding between to make a vid on. Still might tackle it in the future. But I decided on shadows house cause I thought why not talk about smth not many of heard of.

Season 2 is coming soon guys ( 9 July ) can't wait, tbh i really want to read the manga but in the same time i want to wait for second season and not spoil myself
Watched this show on a whim, surprisingly good. Great characterization (John stole the entire show), tons of compelling mysteries, and just a really solid tone. The end does feel like "We dont know if we are getting a season 2, so hear is a kinda forced climax that doesn't necessarily matter" but was all still a good time.
If you liked the anime, I highly recommend the manga. It’s fully colorized and it goes into details the anime didn’t cover.

The anime isn't over yet because of facts that the ending we know the shadow house is going to have when it ends inside Kate and amealco and all the other main characters are going to escape Shadows house but I feel like even after that the anime would not end because after all the towns outside of Shadows house are all controlled by the people with all the powers in Shadows house so they probably would also need to set those people free since those people are probably as much of slaves as the living dolls are

Edit: the shadows are morphs fairy's that morph they see a person kidnapped from the surrounding villages and morph into them but pitch black shadow
I’ve been recommending this show to everyone I know. It’s so cute and interesting but also terrifying.

As you continue watching, you realize that even the Shadow Masters aren’t immune to the conditioning or brainwashing. It’s basically a cult hidden under a noble, Victorian exterior. And the more mysteries that unravel, the higher the stakes and tension.
And people still missed it somehow

Based on what I've heard, the manga is apparently better so you can go with that instead. But having only seen the anime, I still thought it was pretty good.
In my opinion it's the best manga since Pandora Hearts, which was 2006.

I was told by a ton of people that Shadows House was going to be a banger. I hated it. I was told that the manga gets incredibly good, so I read ahead in the manga and hated it. I can understand the appeal to some people, but this show was not under-hyped. It was quite average at best. I will no longer be watching anything Cloverworks spits out of their ass.
