I've finished collecting Real physically now up to volume 15 and i'm almost "done with it" (story's not over but god knows when we're getting another volume) and I was impressed that I had barely heard of it before, unfortunately it gets overshadowed by its 2 older siblings, but god I'm loving it so much, it's already in my top 3 manga overall. Amazing video dude, living up to the work that inspired it.
I've always loved Takehiko Inoue's works, Slam Dunk being my personal favourite. And Vagabond is one of my fav Seinen manga (too bad it's on hiatus rn). When I started reading Real, I just became obsessed with it. Takehiko Inoue is probably my favourite manga artist. Anyways, this is a great video man, I just recently found your channel and all I can say is keep up the good work! You're a pretty underrated channel
I read this on my flight to the Philippines and needless to say it is a masterpiece. Even when it hits the fan for all the characters, everyone pushes through the hard things and continue to struggle forwards. When Nomiya imagines telling his old self ‘thank you for surviving’ i lowkey shed a single tear. Actual peak fiction.
@@krusty06Sorry boss i cant remember the exact chapter but im pretty sure its in the last third of the current chapters. After finishing Vagabond, I was wondering If I should read Real. Then I came here on this video months ago, but I didn't finish since I don't want to spoil myself. Now after finishing the video, I'm glad that to know that I'm not the only Shiratori fan.
Amazing video, Rose. This is without a doubt your best video, from the editing to the script. Even as a certified Inoue hater (joking), you've made me interested in the series. Looking forward to what direction you take the channel in next!
great work. been reading it since pretty much it began serializing. one of the most underrated pieces of art ever. and we've been blessed with a new volume dropping today tooi!

Slam dunk Spoilers!!! I finished slam dunk yesterday and was really disappointed with the ending for me it didn’t fit the part where it was . I would have understood if it was the finals but the second round elim ??? and so many unused potential for developing the 2 main chars kinda feels like the author was forced to end it
That's realism, my friend. The Shohoku is a young developing team with a lot of potentials. The team is led by a rookie, a man playing basketball for a few months, a man who was hospitalized (Miyagi), a man who quit basketball for 2 years and lost his stamina quite a bit (Mitsui) and a player who is even called the best center in Kanagawa, but not the best center in Japan. The other characters are not yet that good. Nationals is a real deal and it's hard to win it especially with a young team. I respect your opinion though because many fans would want the same thing. But for me, the author put not the best ending but the approriate ending for the manga. Who knows, if the author plans to continue the manga in the future we'll get a fully healed Sakuragi and they will win the Nationals.
@@jamillindong8482 i agree with you 100% but the ending felt like the author cut the rest of the story and skipped right to ending and like this it feels unfinished
