I want to say low energy but that was mental health issues not been tired. I want to also refill my trailer now I’m better and change some thumb nails about.
Thanks for these tips. My early thumbnails were too cluttered, but another creator helped me "declutter" them. I have a constant problem of looking into the viewfinder (side mounted on my Panasonic 770), rather than the actual lens, so thanks for the reminder. My outdoor videos leave something to be desired for lighting. And I do have a tendency to get into detail. Some of my viewers appreciate it, but my actual viewing time is less than 50%.
Sean just drops life nuggets with the realness💕💕 Great video with helpful tips. I'm starting to get better at titles. I think title and thumbnail format is what I need to work on atm and sort of trending video styles (vlog, hauls etc).
I have upgraded to the top packaged of tube buddy. It highlighted that some thumb nails needed work. 3 or 4 needed a face adding. So I added my face and body. Now I’m adding to my description and working on branding and colours. Also I’m trying to work out the best fonts for viewers. It’s like having a business the is always something to do.
I look at the screen because I am recording on my phone and I want to make sure I hit the right button. I am slowly retraining myself to provide a split second between the end of a scene and when my eyes goes to the side to look at what I 'm doing.
I started my channel because of you guys! I love how you did 10 tips in 5 minutes and truly got the point across! HALF SHORT and TWICE STRONG! Love it! Benji, that shirt is LOUD! LOL! ( but in a good way)
I guess so, I wish everyone success this year and years beyond!!! Luckily we have them to give us their tips, seriously what will we do without your advice.
When you guys did the low energy part I laughed so hard 🤣🤣🤣 that's so true though! I love the advice! Consistency used to be my worst enemy but I'm Consistency AF now 🤗
@@KryptosChain lol I learned quick that I am not allowed to record at night because the energy just is never the same! Thank God for voice overs when I do have to film at night 😅
I don’t know what it is but so many give up ahh I have 200k subscribers now I’ll see you all in 5 months time. I left a big account the other month as I was sick of her never uploading. Like the guys say you have a favourite show and they cancel it how mad do all the fans get? I would go mental if Line of duty was off for a week.
@@DEEANDFAM thanks not on 200k yet sorry I meant others. They hit big number then bounce. I get that it’s hard but never burn out. I have been there. I’m near 1,000 and pace myself out now. No need to rush I’m looking to work with what I have first to boost rankings. Well done Dee on your changes that’s they key no one talked about. You have to make changes here and there.
Man..I'm guilty of a few of these back in the day. I might still make a few now lol I used to have such horrible thumbnails. Made them in MSPaint. Now I use GIMP. I also used to have, I wouldn't say low energy, more like I was just nervous but filmed anyway. Same kind of thing though. Inconsistency was a problem until a couple years ago, too. But now for the last couple years it's been a video every 2nd and 4th saturday of the month. And I make the 1st of those is ALWAYS some sort of build or tutorial (I do cosplay related stuff, so showing how to make something for a costume in some way, is always the first video of the month), then the second video can be anything else: Another build of some kind, cosplay tips and tricks, when conventions come back, this spot will be where my vlogs of the convention space while cosplaying will be, etc. I don't know if I'd say distracting background is one of them, other's might, but I've noticed when it comes to cosplay channels, we all have cosplay stuff in the back, like a bunch of props we made on the walls, a dress form with a costume on it, and sometimes even tools in shot that get used on said costumes/props. I personally have props I've made and wigs I've styled, as well as a dress form with my big cosplay at the moment on it.
Haha nice video guys. I just started my channel and I think honestly the biggest struggles for me is mistake 1 (not looking into the lense enough) and 8 (because I literally do 10 takes and at the end I'm like dead). But I think I am getting more better at it as time rolls on. Like I got feedback the other day I seemed more confident in front of the camera. It just takes practice that's all!
I've said this too! Look at the lens, not the screen. Huge impact for your channel. Consistent is key! Hence my channel name haha ConsisentAsh , let's all work at being consistent. Get started on RUclips. Post that content, just put yourself out there!
Does anyone know of a good editing program? I bought Movavi but it pixelates the video once you export it! I think this makes viewers leave my videos too early.
Thank You soo much Sean-Benji very helpful Video.. Love it. I'm still Learning soo much about RUclips, I need this all information, This really help me a lot.. 👏🙌😊
Definitely PATIENCE!!! and I'm sure I'm guilty of all of them, but I'm wondering about the ones you don't know you are guilty of. We have kids content so... "Distractions" and "energy" are hard to measure, lol, but one thing I have no idea about is the video color and sound. ?)How do I know if the video/picture is the right color or brightness? Is there a quick trick to test? ?)For voiceovers (for barbie) I've been using my iPad in a basement bedroom... I think it's ok, but I have no idea. (and without comments no complaints, unfortunately. lol.) again, is there a quick trick or comparison that would give me an indication if it's ok? Thank You
I think I do the same thing. I'm a very casual kind laissez faire person (externally anyway lol) so even if I THINK I'm jumping out of the screen, I'm still relaxed and easy on the playback 😂
About title, I discovered that when watched on phones if you search videos inside a Channel, titles are cropped every “21” characters and words CAN’T be split. My Example: Editing Video MacBook Pro | Air M1: Problems and SSD Swap Memory In search inside my Channel it will be displayed as: Editing Video MacBook Pro | Air M1: Problems and SSD Swap Memory Every row supports MAXIMUM 21 characters, otherwise you will see things like “MacB...” So one gold tip is to make your title to fit perfectly in groups of exactly 21 characters. So, when people search inside your videos they can read without problems.
*Great video as always Sean and Benji ! Yeah, I have to say in some videos, I lack energy, but that's when I shoot at night time after a day's work. I'm more energetic during the day. I'd like to think I've improved on my thumbnails but I know I used to clutter messages in them.*
I made gaming content a few years back and now I'm about to start making intriguing & fresh Christian content focused on helping people understand the Bible + the Christian lifestyle better. These tips are definitely crucial for this uphill battle I'm about to fight, thank y'all!
“Trim the fluff” yep!!! Helped me out a lot! I didn’t realize how much fluff I had until watching my old videos. Eeek! Just upgraded my gear as well, hope it helps! 🙌🏼
@@Metokkk Is everything ok Mckz? Seems like your offended or angry by a short video offering helpful advice... (Also not sure why you posted this twice)
#3 bad titles: I can't stand misleading titles or pictures just to get you to watch. As soon as I realize what there doing I'm done with the video and most likely the channel.
The value I got out of this video wasn’t necessarily linked to the 10 mistakes, but loved the little skits in between. Loved the comedy in this video 😂 On a serious note, I will agree about the energy. I struggle with the whole deer in the headlights lack of confidence that happens. I’ve gotten better with practice. You also need to enjoy and have fun with what you’re talking about to display a high level of energy 😊

#8 so true point made abt ‘energy getting half on camera’ after having shot it
What about this mistake: not making content for their core audience? I feel like this is a pretty common one and I’m guilty of it too.
I think I can gain a lot on the consistency front, consistent message is good for my channel. But uploading consistently is hard, something to work on
I look at the screen because I am recording on my phone and I want to make sure I hit the right button. I am slowly retraining myself to provide a split second between the end of a scene and when my eyes goes to the side to look at what I 'm doing.
