After spending a bit more time with the AURORA. I want to go back on one thing. I had it on the wrist now longer and I think it wears more true to size or a 39mm not a 40mm. Why? yes the sapphire is kinda big but the large chapter ring shrinks that fume dial and helps counter act that large all dial look. So I think I'll be more comfortable with saying it wears true to size or like a 39mm....instead of a 40mm.
You see that as a positive. Me on the other hand seek out large dials. For exampleI would rather wear a Monta with the larger dial and smaller case size than the Formex Essence with smaller dial and larger case size. Both watches are very comparable
I don't see it as a positive or negative. I just want to report an accurate description to help peoples decision.
@@EscapementWatch fair enough. I appreciate your video. It was quite good.
Exactly the same diameter sapphire crystal as on my 39mm Christopher Ward c63 GMT so i would 100% agree with this
This watch is punching way above its class🤙offering impressive mechanical & aesthetic features with a comfortable price... I love it ♥️👍🏽
When you say the clasp is too big, do you mean it is too long (from point to point)? I am very interested in your comments regarding the clasp length (is there any chance that the clasp presents "overhang" on small wrists?) How is the articulation of the links attached to the clasp? They seem to be quite rigid. Wonderful review, by the way!!
It is to chunky and thick. Length is fine.
I got myself the blue one with the red tipped second hand. I took a break at work when the countdown reached zero, so I can immediately place an order. I managed to get one, but when I checked 15min later that model was already sold out.
very cool watch and great Videography. I wonder.. what camera + Lens do you use?
Decided mine is a keeper.
Got one. Hope I like it when it gets here.
Got mine. Not quite the wow as hyped but not bad. Will have to decide whether or not to keep.
I'm split between this one and the crystalized. Really hoping someone can post a review of the crystalized one before the drop.
It honestly looks ridiculous - The dial looks like something you'd find on Etsy
Solid Sinn 556 alternative
Not if you can’t buy it day one
How much do they run
I managed to get one, thanks for the suggestion!
No problem 👍
Damn I fell in love with that dial immediately but my main gripe is it's crafted in titanium If it would have been made in steel I would have been ready to pull the trigger immediately I like ti feel my watches with a certain amount of heft Anyways Thanks for sharing another great review my friend 👍
I don't know what zelos do but their titanium watches don't have the flimsy lightweightedness of your typical titanium. I had the last Aurora and mako Ti and both had a surprising bit of weight to them. Certainly lighter than steel but not as light as you'd expect given the material.
Are these going to sell out within seconds?
lets say milliseconds!
@@EscapementWatch are you serious because I’m just trying to get any of the dial variations. Do they all sell out within milliseconds?
@jamesbando2028 certain dial variants will be gone almost instantly. The damasko case and the aventurine will likely be gone within a minute or 2 but more conventional or less popular dial colours will likely take longer but yeah count on them all being gone within a couple of hours. I recommend setting an alarm if you want one.
no im kidding! sometimes they stay around for days/weeks lol. the hammerhead I reviewed is still in stock and I thought it would go fast. Soooo it depends. But usually they all sell out fast
Already gone man…:-(
Love this but will surely wait for Oct for their Blacktip TI release
never had the black tip on the channel yet, hope to check it out.
Yes. IM IN. Im here for the giveaway.
Maybe even better than the magnificent Swordfish
Alarm set ✅️
I was gonna buy the purple one and I changed my mind to get a nintendo switch for my son. I'm happy for my son and it wont change, but your video make me want this watch even more... the purple one is out of stock but the yellow smoked is always there... uhhhh Im just changing of job I cant afford it what a torture
Don't worry they will always release new Auroras with new dials in the future.
How does it still weigh 120 grams when its titanium and its only a 38mm? Sounds heavy for titanium...
the weight comes from the iron cage around the movement
The clasp is chunky and also made of stainless steel. Definitely adds some weight here along with the iron cage
Misleading title. Launch price for one month if it lasts that long. Some variants “may” still be available after day 1
oops you are correct. I was told 15th and I thought 1 day. I just double checked it is Aug 15 not July. So I will delete title thanks!
When’s the next drop I was hoping this month
not sure, zelos been quite lately
if this at 38mm wears more like a 40mm, does that mean 42mm will like a 44mm? that's awfully big wearing.
After spending a bit more time with it....the sapphire is like a 40mm size but the wide chapter ring shrinks the dial and total look on the wrist. So I'd like to change my thoughts on the video and say wears like a 39mm so close to true to its 38.5mm size.
Looks like another winner by them. Flawed bracelet not withstanding.
I like it, but I'm not going to bother with Zelos.
It's like an affordable Rolex, even if you have the money you still can't get it.
So I'm not even going to waste my time because time is to important to waste.
Not so fast! This color way is still available. 10 pieces left zeloswatches.com/collections/aurora-ti-field
Ehh... another beautiful, but useless mechanical watch. Why solar quartz watches are so freaking rare?? It should be a standard today. We are not living in 1960es anymore.
because most people prefer mechanical watches?
@@rafaelmtoledo Not really. Most of people don't even know what a movement is.
And I'd say no one really likes synchronizing and winding their watch up every few days to keep it at least approximately accurate, while carefully planning every step in order to avoid bumping the watch into a doorway and break its movement.
And I don't even want to speak about paying a bit too much when taking it to sometimes expensive service/maintenance every few years.
I think that anyone who knows a thing or two about watches, and claims that prefers mechanical movements over quartz, is just pretending and acting like a child, because there's literally no advantage in wearing it. Actually, it's almost like buying a bicycle instead of a car, but paying 10 times more.
@@damyr I still drive a manual car.. automatic stuff is no fun for me.. I guess we will agree to disagree 🤙🏼
@@rafaelmtoledo yeah, but that's a poor comparison, because the manual drive still has advantages over the auto.
I'm rather talking here about the difference between a bicycle and a car.
Would you buy a bicycle, instead of a car, and be ready to pay ten times more for it?
Or, how about this... would you pay 10 times more than a full price for a Ferrari, but instead of its original engine, it has the Ford Model T engine?
I mean, let's be honest here.
@@damyr I would buy the mechanical zelos over any solar quartz in a heartbeat. I'm not following your analogy. 🤷🏻♂️
