Yeah it's meant to be Tudor-era London inspired. The dark wood beams on white-painted wattle and daub walls inspired a style of their own called Tudor Revival. The Gilnean accent is also distinctly Cockney, which is East London accent. Kul Tirans are Cornish, which is weird because they should be talking about their brand new combine harvesters more than pirates. watch?v=A0zxE0SUG1c&t=11s
This was lovely and very nostalgic once again! Thanks Chaeri :) Fun fact: I know a way to get into the worgen starting zone/Gilneas with a high lvl char, which still works today! So much fun, I did all them quests with my lvl 90 back in the day hahaha
I loved the overall theme and architecture used during the Cataclysm expansion. It's a shame they went through the trouble of creating Gilneas and then basically doing nothing with it. The worgen starting zone and the later half of silverpine forest quest line for horde where you venture into Gilneas is some of my favorite areas to quest.
I've always loved Gilneas and it's an absolute tragedy that it's all but forgotten. Especially with the current state of Undercity, Gilneas should have been retaken during BfA. Hopefully in the new expansion Gilneas can be updated and used as a capital.
Don't know if you'd be down for it since I know it's a dungeon, but Karazhan has always been a fascinating place to me, original or revamp. I love it's creepy gothic vibe.
