Dunja Vejzovic is excellent in Adalgisa, her tessitura fits her voice like a glove, with all the softness and high notes required. And her beautiful face is striking.

Vero carissimo amico. Anni 70 i teatri di Belgrado e Zagabria potevano fare gli allestimenti con loro propri cantanti (forse con quale ospite di classe) sul livello mondiale. Oggi abbiamo invece di Čangalović, Cvejić, Molnar-Talajić, Radovan, Neralić, Ružđak ed altri Zvezda Granda ed altre puttane.

Sounds a bit weird when Adalgisa top register is more stable than Norma's - especially when Norma barely hits the high C in their duet and Adalgisa holds it solidly.

Adalgisa was written for a lyric soprano - Giulia Grisi. It was only later that opera houses started casting a mezzo in the role.
