Oh my! You've inspired me so much. I want to add this to my abstract paintings. I've never had the opportunity to do print and can't wait to try it. Unfortunately there are no studio's in my area but I'll try a small one at home.
Yes, do try at home. I'm launching a hand printing at home course in May- if you're interested do join the waitlist- here- dashboard.mailerlite.com/forms/781426/137975012576462730/share
Enjoyed these snippets of inspiration. Look how exciting a few lines of orange can make a work, scratching into orange paint.. I'm going to buy one orange Pos ca.
I probably would- I've been resistant for some time- put off a bit by the size constraint and the fact that it's squishy (paradoxically!). It might be time to add it into my practice though- take some of my own advice and integrate rather than pivot!
No, I don't actually- mainly because the thinner paper would buckle. But I notice some other people do that. My mixed media pieces are sealed and protected by acrylic medium and cold wax medium, the boards are sealed with gesso though before I start.
Love this

Thank you, Ruth. Stunning art. Very Grateful. Sondra Borrie
I'm so glad it's inspired!
I think that you would really enjoy a gelliplate. It's unique squish factor is awesome. It picks up the finest textures from feathers and botanicals.

Thank you Ruth. Your abstract work is wonderful. I wondered if you put a layer of gesso on paper before you start working on it?

@@printingathomewithruthande1868 thanks Ruth.
Fascinating processes and mix of mediums ❤
Yes- I don't believe in staying in lane (in art anyway!)
