- Join me as I document on video, what was so different about having a baby here in the Philippines, versus having a child in the US. I actually didn't intend to do a vlog like this, but after spending several hours in the dead of night in the tropics in my truck in front of the district hospital, I just thought it would be cool to talk about the experience for my son in the future.

Congratulations my friend again that is a wonderful baby September 6. That is my son‘s birthday. He is 33 years old now he is a big brother to my little daughter two year old. He is a big brother is very cute. The age gap but I know he will take good care of her when he she gets older enjoy your beautiful son and I hope your wife is going to be just fine to do some rest take her home or she’s comfortable, great to see you guys. Yes rick like you I was also married before and have grown up children .
But the feelings are so different when your an older person , I remember when I was in Cebu hospital waiting for the birth of our daughter I was so emotional and feeling on top of the world !!!
It felt so good we ended up with another one 5 years later 😂 haha.

Yes sir, you are right. When my girls were born 30+ years ago, I was clueless when it came to Fatherhood. Just worked all the time to provide for my family and missed out on so much of the girls growing up. With Benjamin, I have a little wisdom under my belt and retired to boot. Really looking forward to being a part of all the little things that I will experience with Benjamin. You described the feeling perfectly brother!

You are correct Kevin, got back here with a few weeks to spare. Cutting it close though. Wouldn't have minded having Benjamin in Texas, but without insurance, we would have been paying for that birth for years 😜.

I know Jim, right! A lot of hair. Jenn says we can't cut it for a year, some superstition thing, I say military high fade at 2 months of age .

We had our son in the philipines she had a C section he was a week early cost me 90,000 pasos he was 4 kgs im from Canada
Jenn was determined to not have a C section, thus me hiding in the truck .

According to my parents David, I was that small as well. My Dad said I started playing Soccer in the 1st grade and started eating like a horse. Trust me, I am anything but small now .

Hey Michael. No worries. It really comes down to just a few things. It's a lot to type here so I think I will just do a follow up vlog that details all of it along with Little Benjamin's recent stay in the hospital for pneumonia. Keep an eye out for it brother!

Thought might be of interest to you there is another occasional Volger in illcos Sur friends of the Armstrong family “Brandon and Willa” they just had a baby as well and the hospital made them do a caesarean. So, sounds like Jen knew exactly what she was talking about making you wait outside.
