my thyroid isn't moving when I swallow why?

A normal thyroid gland is usually difficult to palpate or feel in most people even during swallowing. Displacing the tissues that overlay the thyroid is often employed in order to bring the thyroid gland closer to the surface. Even then palpating a normal thyroid can be difficult. Palpation is primarily used then for exclusion, a palpable thyroid may indicate pathology.

Can you answer why the "full" thyroid bloods test in the UK isn't a full and complete test. My mother had thyroid cancer with a 15cm sub-sternal tumour. The Drs and Specialists ran bloods and numerous tests / examinations...... they didn't spot a thing.
I have a golfball sized growth on the on the left / back side of my thyroid, and the story is the same. When will Drs take this seriously. A "normal" UK thyroid test means nothing ... nothing at all.

Because here in the UK healthcare is $hit. It was bad before 'covid' but now they have the perfect sound bite for every excuse under the sun.
I feel bad for you and your Mother, but you are not alone.
To me Gp's and Drs are off the radar murderers, they are ignorant, useless and extremely dangerous.
Dr Google ( the very thing they complain about) has served me better than any Dr.
Every appointment, every phone consultation with a Dr I tape, I get copies of every blood test etc and compile my own records. I have witnessed loved ones exposed to such high levels of clinical negligence, that have left them with life altering disabilities that I actually despise health practitioners to their core.
Drs specifically have an issue with the ego, they would rather you deteoriate than accept you know your body, or acknowledge your theories/research.
In a nutshell they have no interest in curing or getting to the root cause of your symptoms, instead they wait until you become a text book case, until a cyst has increased in scale, until a tumor has become malignant, until an ailment is days away from life threatening before they even offer mere suggestions.
I am not rich, but I now try to pay for blood tests and scans privately. But the most pathetic thing about that is all I'm paying for is to jump the queue. Private healthcare uses NHS Drs. So I'm still visiting the same Devil. Nothing is fit for purpose in the UK anymore, family members have had to wait for important medical procedures for a year and a half....they blamed covid, so something that would be a grade 1 concern became a grade 4 (5) most serious.
Fcuk the NHS, fcuk the Government, and fcuk the mass murderer by proxy Boris Johnson.

Thank you for watching the video and your comment. Sorry for my (very) delayed reply. I am unable to comment on specific clinical cases as I run this as an education channel (vs clinical advice) but I am sorry to hear about your issue and hope you are now doing better.
