Bison roundup in the south unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park

All bison are checked by a veterinarian and tested for brucellosis, contagious bacteria that so far have never been detected in the park’s bison.
The animals that remain in the park will be marked with a microchip and small metal ear tag for identification.
