The Grizzlies record being bad last year wasn't because Ja Morant was out. Their entire team was out. They had over 50 different starting lineups and used 33 different players.
Wells has been a real surprise, hes played like a guy thats been in the league atleast 3 yrs the future looks bright 😎 for him and the grizz , when we get GG and vince back and Bane and ja are healthy we will be a threat to any team in the league 💪 especially as eady adjusts develops and gains more confident, Huff has been a great addition too , excited to see this team in 2 months super team loading 😊
as GG's body matures he will be able to play any frontcourt spot. He was enormous as an 18 year old rookie in terms of his frame and muscle mass and as he fills out he will look like a slightly shorter Dwight or at minimum like Banchero.
Holding them back is coach and health of Morant. Don't forget coach. Not too worried about helalth of other players as this team has now a plethora of quality players and we are tall. JJJ and Clark injured? Not a prob anymore. We got Edey, Aldama and Huff. Bane injury? We got Wells, Jackson, Laravia, and even Perea of G League. And I do like the development of Pippen but he is a backup. Maybe Yuki would be a better candidate of stepping up for Ja when he's injured BUT coach needs to play him equal time as Pippen to be ready.
Wells of course, he's been hellava extended, growing monster every since the NBA season doors were opened, and of course! Wells, alongsides Edy both can becomed serious Rookie of the year candidates, but only if allowed more playing times to grow wiser in these Rookie games of thorny outcomes gained repeatedly grooving an hellava positive impact for Gritty and Grinding Grizzly cubs.
He's a held trade asset, Memphis can take calls on Smart and talk to opposition GM'S about other players instead. Gotta wiggle into those trade circles with bait.
I definitely wouldn’t call the Memphis Grizzlies “irrelevant” before Ja Morant got there. I mean of course they weren’t champions but that team with the grit and grind core 4 was pretty good and had very good playoff runs. Pretty ignorant and idiotic statement.
6'6 to 6'7 most likely. I'd say the afro is giving him an extra inch because they can't press down to the scalp. There is a picture of him next to a 6'9 player while at WSU and id say there was a two to 3 inch difference in overall body frame.
@artduart1286 exactly GG Jackson, Des (late 1st), V dub, Wells. What im most excited about is the defensive potential of the squad. 2 DPOYs, Vince, and Wells. My god we're going to suffocate most squads in the league. Lets just pray for consistent health lol 🙏🏾
@@artduart1286 ur dumb lol we got plenty of late draft picks and undrafted players lu dort was undrafted aaron wiggins 55th pick jwill second round and more players we picked up our scouting is 10x better and we prove it every year ur team is awful

Thank you
Facts They literally broke the injury record
They started out awful, before everyone got hurt. The only time they were decent was the week.Ja played
I think they went like 0-6 to start the season too so it was also because they didn’t have Ja
@@EchoDragonHawk Broke their OWN injury record I'm pretty sure right?
Its ridiculous how much talent we got on the team
Memphis literally has a team with 15 full quality players. No scrubs at all.
Yuki amd Cam Spencer are also great! We're the deepest team, baby!

J. Huff comin' N doing stupid nasty backwards dunks on the league from the G-League.
GG Jackson will be our starting SF eventually
I back that
vince williams is a better fit to start
as GG's body matures he will be able to play any frontcourt spot. He was enormous as an 18 year old rookie in terms of his frame and muscle mass and as he fills out he will look like a slightly shorter Dwight or at minimum like Banchero.
Vince Williams got voted the hardest matchup for guards in the Nba. He will be a key piece
How can you forget Yuki.

Griz has one of the best coaching team
True 👍🏾
No
Cap
Keep it going
Don't sleep on Edey. Massive potential there. Yuki is a beast aswell
Grizzlies never been irrelevant since they came to Memphis... I'm assuming you are too young to remember Zbo, Gasol, Conley etc

Look i love smart but his fit is kinda awkward in the team

Memphis just has it's first superstar in Ja. Still think the grit and grind Grizzlies would beat the current Grizzlies in a best of 7.
That was over for a few seasons before Ja got there. Tony was gone. Zbo retired. Marc and Mike weren’t the same anymore for a couple seasons
@@tako4mvp719 has nothing to do with what I said
They need to trade that MEDICAL STAFF for Takis
And GG not even back yet
Mane Memphis so deep and folks don’t even know about Jaylen Wells dude a sniper and a lockdown defender
Purdue Fan here.
hE's jUsT taLL!!!
Get used to hearing that Memphis fan.
Actually the beat young core resides in Minnesot!
Wells is great but not 6'8. Maybe 6'6.

GG will take LaRavias minutes
LaRavia should NOT play 19 mpg.
ALSO WHERE KAWAMURA?
He’s slick trash.
Be ready for a Laravia and Smart combination trade.
The grizzlies made the playoffs 7 straight years before Ja got to the grizzlies lol. They were far from irrelevant
Never compare Edey to Steven adams again !
Idk, I think the Cavs would tend to disagree with this assessment, lol.
Nah that's okc and they still got crazy draft picks to add talent
We dont need 1st round picks we pick better players in the 2nd round and undrafteds

Naw. Ja going to act up again and end his career.
