Great series. Nice to meet a fellow UpNote lover! I noticed between video 2 and 3 you switched from just using "Notebook Name" to "##| Notebook Name" such as 00 | Planning. I was wondering what prompted the change and how it is helping you?
One was on my demo account the other on my real account. My real account I used ##| as I had to do that on Evernote to have the stacks in the order I wanted. I don't need to do that in UpNote so I will probably switch it at some point.
Yes, that's what I had done in evernote. In UpNote you can sort it manually. It may be that I keep it in case I want to sort it alphabetically if my archive folder gets too big. I haven't quite decided yet how deep my nests will go for the notebooks.
Hello!… Are you maybe using the P.A.RA. method in UpNote ? I was wondering this because I noted that 4 notebooks are named Projects, Areas, Resources, and Archive like just the 4 main places where put all the files in the P.A.R.A. method…. Thank You.
Yes. but not really. I am mostly just using notion to manage my content creation process. I also have some annual plans in Notion that I haven't migrated across and a few checklists that ToDoist still links to.
Thank you Chris! I, too, have recently discovered Upnote and have fallen in love with it. I have been looking for decent tutorials on it ever since. Thankfully, I found your series. This is what will 'slow me down' and keep me from looking for more notes apps. Time to learn and use Upnote! Asé Peace & Blessings, "Guided by the Ancestors"
Thanks - I too have switched back and forth between every notes app under the sun. Though only a few have been treated to a full migration of all my notes. My experience is that no app is perfect and the initial honeymoon period will wear off and you will spot the 'foibles' and flaws with the particular app you are using. But I have learned the hard way that constantly switching and moving everything around is by far a worse option than learning workarounds or how to live with things that need improving.
@@effectivefaith After using UpNote for nearly a year, the only thing I wish for on a regular basis is the ability to drag and drop notes from one notebook to another.
What a great service you have performed for the UpNote community!! Thank you! Please consider a similar series for Notesnook, another great cross platform note app overlooked by great RUclips presenters like you.
Actually I know someone who is beginning a series on Notesnook. You can see his channel here youtube.com/@anthonyfoister23. My deal breaker with Notesnook is that you cannot link notes. The developers have told me they are working on a big update, after that is finished then note links will be the next big update. Then it becomes a contender for me and I will seriously compare it with UpNote.
Gotta oil that creaky chair mate! Great work, still working my way through the series.
It's an old chair. I'm going to try and film new videos in a different location from now on if I can

Great content. Are you still actively using Notion?
Yes. but not really. I am mostly just using notion to manage my content creation process. I also have some annual plans in Notion that I haven't migrated across and a few checklists that ToDoist still links to.
@@effectivefaith Thanks!-just curious. Other than databases, there’s no need. I would think.

@@GS-uc8de yes. That would be a nice addition.
I definitely think this would be a nice addition
