- 30 mins ex-Milwaukee locos on SOO Line & Chicago Central & Pacific in N. Illinois & E. Iowa w/ Location Maps.
My personal recordings transferred from VHS.
It was awesome to see and hear and see old Milwaukee Road ☺️
Very cool.
I can remember, when I was kid, there was a derailment there at the old IC overpass.
😯
Any chance you have any footage along the Madison Branch of the IC? I’m surprised that no one caught a train going through the tunnel with a video camera.
Good morning. I don't have any of the Illinois Central sadly. I had access to a camcorder from the early 1980s but never got to the IC even tho the Gruber went thru my home town of Dixon, Illinois. One of my other projects in the last few years has been tracing the ROWs using the USDA aerial photos from the 1930s & 40s. I have compiled the Madison Divison and here is the segment between Belleville & Fitchburg as seen from 20,000 feet in 1937. Your comment reminds me this needs an update on captions to identify the tunnel location. Have a great Holiday season- ruclips.net/video/1a62k6Wh3gg/видео.html
I enjoy the videos on the Milwaukee road &So Line & the Chicago & North western ! Yes those were the Good old days ! They didn't need to worry of covid 19 ! Thanks to all who do share these good old train days ! May God bless you all ! Amen !
Great bandit footage!
Chicago Central had some old, old units, kind of like MidSouth Rail had, at around the same time (late 1980s). Both railways had nice paint schemes.
