yeah need secondary specced WV 44, Renown 44 seems to do well against schellboots. I have mix to mild success with them with a secondary specced Toulon.
I hope it's more playable and enjoyable than the pts showed
Roles:
BB=Bombardment
CA=Bombardment and AA Support+Maybe sinking PT Boats.
CL=Everything, especially on killing DDs and PTs.
DD=Mine Sweeping
CV=Stay in Port
Subs=GET LOST

Ok, the trailer is awesome... but the play isn't as good as the trailer. Having said that, the first test on the PT sucked, the second test as a little too easy. The third test buffed the enemy a little back, and it's pretty good now. Belfast and Helena very strong, WV 44 also good. The American CAs may not have the DPM with the fast moving enemy PT boats, but I didn't try any of the CA. It's good, with the history and map and rewards that will probably be associated with it, just not as cool as the trailer. .
What is the ship at minute 0:41?

I tried this in the Warships test, but couldn't find any good Tier VII ship with good fast secondaries for this.
I don't know if it's allowed to say why here since the game mode isn't in the game yet.
If only Tier VIII ships were supported...
The best ships are cruisers with heals - I found Fiji to be best. They have the DPM required to take out the torp boats and the coastal defences, while being agile enough to avoid the mines. You'll also want ship launched depth charges as the air dropped ones are very ineffective against the mines. Finally, in the second iteration of the test they seemed to adjust the armour of the bunkers so cruiser AP works from longer ranges. You can do 20k damage every 7 seconds with the Fiji, which is similar to what a BB does every 30s.

@@MonkTheWorldTree I own both of them, but i didn't try them i because of the bullet hell on stage 3. "Champagne" would be great there with it's fast 11 KM secondaries, but is one tier too high...

Not gonna lie this op is not the usual piece of cake. Youre lucky if someone survives at the end to complete the mission
In the first test round the forts had laser guns shredding everything. Luckily WG reduced their super accuracy in the later rounds.

Think PTS round 2 is still hard just because teammates dont know what to do, then round 3 kick in. Turn scene from The Longest Day into bullet hell game
