  • Fiji's diving is surprising - reefs of great contrast and diversity. Soft coral laden pinnacles, shallow hard coral gardens, current swept channels, and Pelagic rich drop-offs. Strong ocean currents through barrier reefs lead to calm and protected coral lagoons.
Here you can swim the whole gamut of underwater experiences - and still never see it all. If variety is the spice of life, then Fiji is diving’s red-hot chili pepper.

Feeding the sharks? Wow...unbelievable. I find it shocking that the offcial channel for tourism of Fiji (I assume that this channel is that) would upload a video that includes such a perverse and damaging practice to sea life. Sharks are NOT to be fed, sealife is NOT to be fed. This reflects very badly upon you, amateur and casual divers might be happy and excited by seeing sharks being fed...but no real diver would ever go diving there if they know that this is taken place.

I am pretty sure you don't know what the hell you are talking about...'professional" divers and world-renowned underwater photographers dive Fiji every day....

@@sandrab7700 apparently your reading comprehension f...ing sucks. Did I say that Fiji is not a good place for diving? Did I say that no professional diver go there? I said that I find it odd that the official tourism channel of Fiji shows shark feeding.

@@sandrab7700 Shark feeding is a show put on for tourists to snap a picture of a shark, it alters thir behaviour, damages the ecosystem, conditions the sharks and makes them more prone to aproach divers...it is s freak show to make money.

@@sandrab7700 Find me one, only one, of your world renowned underwater photographers that engages in shark feeding / baiting for their photographs and then we can talk.

I was in Fiji 2 weeks ago and our diving instructors gave us food to feed the reef fish and the baby sharks. We also had 2 marine biologists with us.
