That's what I thought until i realised i am still hung up on my dear Person , so little story here if you don't mind me sharing ...
I met this guy online last June we hit it off really well and became friends, then September or October i confessed with great courage n now we are bf and gf, then this year January or February mid something we started having bigger problems like long distance time differences really sucked plus he is so FK busy he has a tight schedule i am okay with that, but i dont know how problem arises or what happened March this year we broke up it was pretty bad not the drama one just the both parties in love but are forced to break up that type pretty movies type 🤪
I actually asked him to break up cuz he is a musician and you know how hectic could it be he wanted to spend time with me but couldn't really so i didn't wanted him to feel pressed we did try to put distance between us so that his life could get back on line (he had a major accident last year and was recovering that's when I met him) he is fine now after 4 to 5 days i told him can we be friends if not Gf bf and he said okay, like here i am going through a rolar coster ride and he agrees to my everything with little to no drama i dont even know if he even feels attracted to me cuz he never verbally expresses which is ok but my insecure heart plus he says ok to everything i says pr even demands i feel just very weird like i am a bad bitch manipulating him or something and i still like him, feels possesive my Scorpio moon doesn't wanna have anything with him we don't see each other but sometimes I still texts and since he visit my country on a monthly basis cuz of some work i could see him and his gang but now we are just friends in name, ( i tried FWB with him cuz i just couldn't stop myself 😐 but it also fail by my side) i dont know what to do gave us sometime after breakup but still checks up on him sometimes while he seems to be having fun in his life i feel like i was a plaything or a time pass to him but while we were together he never let me feel this, it's like he is still him n enjoying himself while here i am all shattered it's as if we never had a thing those months were just my delusion

I am a cancer and currently trying to move on in all ways from my past ex so I can move into something wonderful and find the right person one day...some of this process hasn't been easy due to having to deal with and face deep pain that I have been avoiding from my past but it's holding me back from my future happiness so I gotta go thru it to get where I want to be.I have just come to realize we weren't right for each other because our relationship was nothing but toxic and dysfunctional which isn't good for either of us long term wise and we are better off not being friends and not being in our lives at all.
Aquarius sun with Cap in Saturn. I had a mom who was Cancer and kind of learned a lot from her. She was kind of how I learned the once a cheater always a cheater mentality (sorry, I just havent met someone who proved it wrong). I dont have that many relationships but I dont like someone taking my partners attention away from me when I want to talk to them. It makes me feel lonely and like I'm not loved.
Also, it would make me uncomfortable, as I've always been the type to get my eyes completely out of my life as soon as we break it off and will ghost them. I think I'd still try to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I definitely wouldnt want to meet them.
Of course, theres always circumstances that come into play. For instance, my parents were separated when I was little but still kind of had that friendship going because of me and my siblings. My dads actually a Cancer too, and man, did they not work out well lol. I think it depends on the situation, but I understand the ones who wont be bothered to even keep the person in their life if they're still friends with their significant other.
As a Virgo Sun and Virgo Moon, Cancer Ascendant and A Venus in Leo I don't see it as a treat being friends with an ex not unless there is something going on with that friendship. Like why are you still friends with someone who used to be inlove with? It doesn't make sense right? I guess being cool is fine but being friends and keeping in touch is a shady thing to me. But on the other hand you are spot on when if my ex' reach out to me usually I try not to engage because I don't want my recent relationship be in trouble just cause of that. Sagittarius sun, Venus and moon in Capricorn (Leo rising). It really depends on the person. Some people I can be friends with and will kind of like.. work for it ( example, first ex, a Scorpio. Just an awesome fun person that meant a lot to me at that time. When he visits for holidays, we will go for a drink or dinner). Other exes I can be cordial with and I will definitely take the lead from the others. If they don’t want contact, I won’t. And sometimes I just don’t have an interest in doing so depending on how the ending went down.

I’m a zero degree Libra, Virgo rising and Aquarius moon. For me, this is a case by case situation. I’ve been okay with an ex as a friend and I have been “oh hell no” to an ex as a friend. It’s all about the vibe. First, how is the person toward me. If they won’t meet me OR are giving me raised eyebrows? No. Bye bye. Secondly, if you watch and there’s lingering eye glances or touches 🤨 you’re just asking for trouble and it has to be a no. However, if there’s just friendly banter with no sexual tension, then I’m fine with it. I have that situation now…although it helps the ex lives in another state. 🤪

I answered in the poll that I'm okay with my partner being friends with his exes as long as we both are. But I think I forgot to write my zodiac sign. I'm Cancer sun and, as far as I remember, Virgo moon and probably Scorpio rising but not so sure because it's years ago when I made my chart.
I have several exes as good acquaintances, almost friends. But I still remember EVERYTHING they've done wrong and why I'm not with them so there is a strict line between. Well, I've tried to reconcile in a couple of cases when I was single not so long after the breakup, it just doesn't work! Nobody changes so fast and generally. But when I'm in a new relationship, exes are in a stable friend zone without a chance to win me over. Although, I might occasionally hang out or talk friendly to them about the life etc., there is just no chance for coming closer!
Regarding my partners exes, I tolerate them if he is open and has told everything about that past relationship and is trustworthy. I tend to trust but check. But if he once brakes this trust I will always keep an eye on him even if I will probably forgive and give the second chance. He just has to count on having to prove his trustworthiness time after time. But if he does it for the second time he will see the worst side of both- Cancer and Scorpio. And gets all the poison on him, even years after if he just mentions something about reconciliation. I have everything in my files. 😅

gemini rising, leo sun, capricorn moon and virgo venus. I don't like to keep ex as friends because I feel it's disrespectful to whoever I get involved with. Don't want to do anything that causes insecurity and doubt right off the bat. Yeah, you could say you shouldn't pander to their insecurities but I have other friends. I don't NEED my ex to be my friend as well. I can just make even MORE friends if I need to.

I’m Scorpio sun and rising w/ Libra moon. My main thing is trust, if I don’t trust the man then he’s not the man for me. If my Scorpio spidey senses go off then there is something rotten in Denmark and know I will find out and it will not be pretty. The only time when an ex can be friends if there are children involved. That is one thing I have learned is that an ex will always be in my husband’s life because he has kids with her. Even if the kids grow up, the “ex” will always be there. But, if an ex doesn’t have kids, I would never be fine with that. I tried having an ex as a friend and found out it doesn’t work. So, I have never made an ex a friend. Better to let it go, then still be visiting with that bad emotion.

Ahahahahahahaha i was looking at this from venus point of view (Libra) and seems like Libra don’t have energy for being friends with ex. All I can say, if you had kids with an ex, you will have your ex in your life. The only exception is if the mother or father of your child hates your guts, then that ex is out of most of your life. But, saying that, if there are no kids involved get rid of your ex. It doesn’t help out your new relationship and it is a suspicion that you are not over them.

Hi AstroGuy! 👋🏽 Leo Sun, Moon, Rising and I'm so surprised Leo is #3 as being friends with exes cuz this Lion Queen is definitely a no on being friends with ANY of my exes for the simple fact that I don't believe it's possible to have a friendship without feelings still lingering. I'm not friends with any of my exes because for some time, I still had feelings after the relationship ended. It wouldn't be fair to the other persons relationship if they had one for me to still be friends with my ex because I've been in that position where I felt really uncomfortable with my partner being friends with their ex and he was not respecting my feelings and went on to be friends with their ex. It caused a lot of insecurity and in the end, I ended it because I could not trust him. Coincidentally to this day, that ex of mine (Aries - my soul partner 😭) still chases after me, even though it's been 6 years since I broke his heart. I wouldn't consider him a friend because he is heavy in drug addiction now, but I try to be there for him in this very sad struggle because he needs someone who still believes in him enough to encourage him to get help. Exes are in the past for a reason. I have no inclination to maintain, initiate or allow contact between me and them. It's not worth the drama and complications. They're dead weight, IMO. So Imma be like, "It's been real but if it's time to move on, it's time to move on. Peace." And I look for a partner who's on the same page in that regard. Otherwise, I'd be like "Peace". You can't walk through a new door if you keep your foot stuck in the old one. And, you can't be fully present to what's in front of you if you keep looking back.
If however something warrants communication between us, I'll be civil but I will keep our interactions succinct and impersonal.
