Thanks for putting yourself through this so i didn't have to make myself do it. I wandered the galaxy for about 20 hours, realised i was extraordinarily bored with the setting and, without deliberately doing so, abandoned it completely.
I love what you wrote in the Lorerunner site in regards to Starfield. Where you give a fair and simple review consisting of a few sentences for a majority of the other games you've reviewed, all you wrote for Starfield was "Do not buy this game". Hilarious and understandable.
One of your best reviews IMO. Very thorough, sorry you had to suffer through all that. Seeing that "do not buy this game", was the only thing written in the description on the site was hilarious (and definitely fully warranted). Thank you.
Watching someone else suffer through this like I did has been kinda cathartic, I kinda know that feel. Worst 100$ I've ever spent, tbh. Rip in piss godawful game. And the fact that bethesda has the nerve to double down on its defense, blaming the players AND STILL not implementing mod support just makes my blood boil.
I absolutely expected this waste of development time to score -50 or -100. I was surprised when a few streams in it still held roughly even between positives and negatives. But considering that the score scale is logarithmic (if I remember correctly), dropping down to -207 is... Wow. Just wow.
On the topic of the mining laser, there should be so much kickback that part of the usage of it should be struggling to keep it on target. Needing to readjust the aim because of it's power output.
When I first started playing this game, I was so excited. I was actually having a lot of fun - then it hit me that there is basically no meaningful exploration. The single most beloved aspect of a Bethesda game - exploring the world, was missing in favor of huge, empty planets with radiant content on them. We could have had Elder Scrolls 6 soon, but this abomination has cut the line. I just hope I’m still happy and healthy when ES6 releases.
As I thought Starslop is another failure for Bethesda. Should we even be surprised? Everyone play Starsector instead. It's everything this game tried to be but couldn't. Even with a huge team behind it they still couldn't do it. 20 episodes for Lore. That's a lot of time that could have been better spent.
Aw, I'm sorry you broke up with Todd Lore! I hope you will get a better relationship soon! I'm sure next valentines Chris Metzen wont dissapoint you! That date will be legendary! ;)
So glad I'm an old jaded gamer thats been lied to and falsely hyped so many times. I no longer preorder anything. I wait aalmost a year before buying a game. In that time you can figure out if it sucks. In that time, you can also get it on sale. In that time, they have most likely worked out the bugs. Just wait a year and if the game sucks or dies in that time, you've saved yourself that time and money.
Best advice right here folks. I would say given the recent trend to keep single players games updated like live service games maybe its prudent to wait 2 years or maybe more.
Unfortunately people told me this was Fallout 4 in space so I bought this game, and while I was playing it I was constantly thinking to myself "I'd rather be playing Fallout 4". So that's my money down the drain.
WoW this man is absolutely unrecognizable. Just load up some of his streams from 5 years ago. So passionate and engaging(just the whole demeanor), even with very flawed titles, that others kept ****** on. I mean, i get it, people change, but whed that guy go.
Ahh! I missed the final stream. Oh well. Yeah, I was expecting something in the negative tens or so, but wow. Man, and I looked forward to this game before release. After release and the intial impressions my interest went way down. I was still planning on giving it a shot someday but I guess that's more of an "if" now. Maybe when it's $5 in a few years. It really sounds as if Bethesda's A team has lost the plot with this game. May Starfield be the nail in the coffin for the Creation Engine. Hopefully Todd will get his head out of his ass becasue of this but I have doubts. Anyway, you surived Starfield Lore! On to better games.

Oh, that's lovely 😂
I have not bought a Bethesda game since that travesty that was called Fallout 76.

So this was a journey xD
Good stream. Watched all the way through to the end.

It is baffling that there is no gore and turning people into ash with the laser weapons.

Incredible how annoying Barret is as a companion.
All companions are annoying, some more some less but they are. Fallout 4 didnt have this problem.
Story Minus to Lore for not openning the thing.
