- This video is intended for an audience ages 13 and older.
It's finally time! Today I begin Rider Potential, the series where I look at Kamen Rider seasons and see how Hasbro could adapt them! By popular demand, today I'm looking at how we could adapt Kamen Rider Build! Keep in mind that this is all done in the spirit of fun and love for the franchise, I'm not begging anyone to use my ideas or expecting them to.

A good way to introduce Sato Tarou and Katsuragi Takumi and Sento's Amnesia would be for Sento to be a Synchronization experiment that fused Sato Tarou and Katsuragi Takumi

Honestly, I think the best thing to do with Synchronization, is to use Metal Build as an establishing arc for Grease's Synchronization with his best friends, who would be the Three Crows, and Rogue's final form, Prime Rogue, established as a sort of Imperfect Synchronization with her brother, hence why it drained, and needed to be repaired, though this time, it would be prepared for the final battle with Evol.
I say Build deserves adaptation as the first of it.
"After the discovery of Pandora's Box on Mars, the world began to split: North, South, East & West. This marked the beginning of a new era: a World War III - called the Pandora War."
Build's would start off as a Frankenstein-like scientist who's trying to create his ultimate achievements: the Rider System & Metahumans (Smash). However, he was mysteriously assassinated by a "Man in Blood Red". Later, he comes back under a different identity where he has amnesia. But he was "chosen" to become a hero during the Pandora War to save humanity from the terrorist group: Faust. While on that mission, he meets Ryuga who's running from the law for a crime he didn't commit. Together, they form a bond that will lead them to their answers of their fates.
Misora's counterpart will be a rising K-Pop idol who'll become either Build's or Grease's love interest. She possesses the power to purify bottles and has an alien queen from Mars possessing her through her bracelet.
Build & Cross-Z reside in the west, Grease residing from the north & Rogue once residing from the west moves to the east after being banished/exiled for his twisted ambition for power.

I love the world splitting idea more then the japan splitting idea because idk it seems more grand
I honestly like this idea. Especially making Grease and Rouge siblings, Turning Night Rouge into Mad Rouge, and having final form of the show be Cross-Z Build since we only see that form in the summer movie and the stage show. I can't wait to see what you do with W, Ex-aid, Faiz and OOO the most.

Sam Watson-Tayler But sento and Banjo Relationship works better if Sento is the female since Banjo is the meat head. Plus it’d be cool to have the women be the leader in that situation for once.
Interesting note, the fullbottle match ups are kind of reflected in Sento and Ryuga. The best matches are between a specific biotic and abiotic pair. Biotic could also be represented as instinct much like what Ryuga works off of and abiotic represents science, aka Sento. Which is again seen at the end with Sento's Gold Rabbit and Ryuga's Silver Dragon match up (Even though that was a horrible cgi work).
I had a realization watching this video, that given the toku release format in the west, it'd be impossible to fit all the toys/forms into the show. Assuming we got 40 episode seasons, there is no way they can fit all the Best Matches, other Rider upgrades and villains from Build into one season. But if they did a 2nd season that'd probably be 25 episodes too many.
I'm sure if they did a two part story and have it end on a cliffhanger and not finish the full story of build and find an even episode distribution, they'd do great!
Have a question What If instead of live-action what if we animate the series for the west and make it 12 minutes each episode I don't know if you're going to read this or not but it would be cool if you answered that question
As I could understand it, you had a problems with trying to fit Grease Blizzard in to Syncronazation concept, so here is my solution. Since Grease and Rouge are siblings, Syncronazation could work slightly different than usual. In stead of power coming from connection itself, here Syncronazation will help characters to discover their new treates, which are translated in to new powers : Grease Blizzard and Prime Rouge. I hope this kinda makes sense
Hmmm that could work. Maybe it would make more sense to try to turn those into forms that use the Sclash Driver since the Build Driver is sort of the vessel that allows for the body-merge Synchronization
@@thomasjujube Yeah, this might work, but in case Build Driver had to be used for them for some reason, it could be explained like this:
1. Grease Blizzard was originally developed as Slclash Driver form, but Slclash Driver isn't very powerful system, so Blizzard creates an impossible for human to handle pressure. Because of that Blizzard Knuckle had to be developed as an adapter to Build Driver, which is strong enough to handle Blizzard's pressure, and Prime Rouge was developed with an adapter in mind.
2. Grease Blizzard and Prime Rouge are fusion forms like Crozz-Build, but they work more like Double and Double Fang. By that I mean that in this fusion, one character is in a lead and another character is making this form stronger. In case of Grease Blizzard, Grease is in a lead, and Rouge's cold character makes Blizzard stronger, and in Prime Rouge case, Rouge is in a lead and Grease's kindness or love for nature makes Prime stronger.

its actually pretty late for this comment idea to post but here is it:
the adaptation of sento will be someone who is like satou taro with his personality and all. however, the twist is that he doesnt have amnesia. he never forgets the memories he had and another one, his body got swapped to the smartest devil scientist who has been wanted as a fugitive. so he has to uncover the mystery of where his original body went while using the body's brain, memories and skills to make inventions and gadgets
banjo will also be a refugee who sento has catch hold of but was found out he has amnesia too. i dont have much ideas for banjo except that the duo friendship between both sento and banjo will be the same and well respected.
evolto will be the same but different while a new spider general will appear. the skywall will just split the country into 3

I'd like to see more kiva content, because in full honesty kiva was my first look into kamen rider bc of his suit just looked so good for the time
The problem with Kiva is that the suit is too heavy and was causing problems for the suit actor.

Maybe they can remake the suit and remove the real chains in exchange for lighter plastic chains to reduce the weight. Plus vampire theme are very well known in the west. I can see it be adapted.
@@zuhailishufller8046 they did change the chains since decade, so that the "new" suit could be used in the films without too much problem for the user, and I guess you could 3dprint the leg part

The story parts has already been very well theorized imo by Karn Does Stuff. His Power Rider Fusion videos seem like they'd realy be what they'd do in an adaptation of Build

I kinda have an idea of Rogue and Grease giving up their synchronization goal and just simply part ways. Either that or instead of a purple Grease Blizzard, it’s Prime Rogue(since it has the gold of Grease's suit)
build is "easy" to adapt; between the lack of actual japanese cultural reference, and a limited amount of interacting between the costumed main charathers and background ones. while not quite a Shinkenger-Samurai, a Timeranger-TimeForce could be pulled without much problems
would use the syncronization as "between the user and the drivers", with the transteam gun being made just to work with "bloodstalk" and "nightrogue"but have a hard limit to what can be reached, similar story with the sclash driver (but with out the driver being locked to the user). the build driver is the "everyone can use it and with infinite potential but weaker on his own", as it uses 2 different bottle to work, so it "breaks even" the sync, with the power up used to steamline the procedure.
more than anything, I'd like to see more RTSparkling, dome better action for GreatCrossz, and a better use of MadRogue and the KaiserBros
and on a side note, the fact that using different bottle into the steamguns, sclashdriver, and bottle buster have different effect. FFS, we have a bottle that is litterally called GATLING and you do not put in the nebulasteamgun the one time you need firing volume? it doesn't even require any additional special effect, just use the sound and go!
So I’m doing a special called Arc Dimension for my Build adaptation(inspired by this pic of (Y/Z)uzu possessed by Evolto. Yuya uses Mykola’s Genome Combiner during the events of said special, and he might use RTSparkling.
With the whole Synchronization could be an interesting cometary for relationship and with evolt toxic and abusive much like Steven universe and it’s Fusion allegory
I have some ideas for a Zi-o adaption reply & tell me what you think.
(1)Masked Rider Time Knight: So Geiz,Woz, & Tsukuyomi would still be from the future ruled by the evil Omega Time Knight the Demon King.
(2)Characters: Zi-o would be the son of Dex(masked rider) & at first Black Woz would be a sort of ally to Zi-o while Tsukuyomi & Geiz would be anti-heroes/semi-ally's for the first half of the season & White Woz would be a sort of ally to Geiz & a kind of enemy to Black Woz & Zi-o & Swartz,Heure,& Ora would be a trio of siblings also from the future trying to create an army to usurp the Demon King.
(3)Team Ups: Since there's so much time travel in the season maybe Time Force would try to arrest Woz,Geiz, & Tsukuyomi for disrupting the time stream & the Riders team up with the current Power Rangers team at the end of the team up Time Force wishes the riders luck & tells them to stop the future of the Demon King.
(4)Finale: Our heroes Time Knight(Zi-o),Future Rider(Geiz),Delta(Woz),Luna(Tsukuyomi), & Masked Rider RX(Dex) fight Another Legacy(Swartz as Another Decade) they are getting beaten badly by Swartz & his army of Another Riders Woz says their might be one last option he gives Zi-o the Omega Time Knight Phaser & says its the only way after some thought he takes the belt & defeats Swartz becoming Omega Time Knight the Demon Slayer, after the fight Time Force comes back & offers to take Woz,Geiz, & Tsukuyomi back to their time but they decline Woz even says that alternate versions of them would exist in their time jokingly referred to as Gray Woz,Another Geiz, & Another Tsukuyomi.
I agree that Hasbro decide to not adapted into Kamen Rider for the moment just as this current company heavily focused on Power Rangers (the adaptation of Super Sentai).
It reminds me of Capcom how recently heavily focused on Street Fighter V rather than Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite due to its sales and support.
UPDATE: According to Hasbro posted from The Pink Spandex's Facebook account that the next Power Rangers adaptation following after Beast Morphers will be none other than Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger which will reveal it till next month (February 2020). Sorry, Thomas, but your Sentai Potential videos is just a waste just how Hasbro skipped four Sentai shows for Ryusoulger. But, we're just have to wait and see it happens.
That's still a rumor, Hasbro hasn't officially confirmed that its Ryusoulger. And if it is they could still go back and do the other seasons at some point. And if they don't then Sentai Potential wasn't a waste because it was still fun to do :)
Hm...I probably think after W, or Ex Aid, maybe OOOs, Fourze, and Drive. Though, out of the three, I say Drive might have more potential because Hot Wheels is a popular toy series, so maybe Drive's cars and motorcycles gimmicks could work as well as Hot Wheels's cars and motorcycles. I mean, that's the reasoning behind why Toqger should be adapted since Thomas the Tank Engine is popular. I chose Fourze mostly because people thought he would be adapted as the first "Power Rider". OOOs is just a personal favorite, but many people love OOOs, so there's that.
drive have a bit too much "JAPANESE police" as a theme. it would require a lot of new filming for small stuff
I have an idea... When you mentioned duality and family, I thought of two brothers, both attempting to revive their parents, but one (Build) is trying to revive them by combining biology with engineering (kind of like the Beast Bots) and the other (one of the other Riders) is attempting to use something a bit _darker..._ Not entirely sure on what, but this dark "magic" is slowly taking over him, turning him into a vessel for a darkness that isn't entirely human-friendly. The Build brother realizes what's going on, but he's too late- the only thing he can do at this point is give his brother an honorable death and defeat the darkness that has found its way into his creations.
Yeah... this is a dark idea.

For some reason Grease Perfect feels like the Synchonize version for him if his body was stolen
This is a very nice take on Build's story adaptation, being synchronization as the greatest power source and all. Anyway, I'm expecting that the showrunners, should they adapt Kamen Rider once more, to be more daring in taking heavy subjects as much as regular Kamen Rider shows do. They need to get rid of people's stigma that this is just a "mere kid's show", something that had been plaguing some, if not all Power Ranger shows. At least, there's a good balance between joke, seriousness, and fun too.
What I like about Kamen Rider adaptations is that there's a potential to expand the Kamen Rider universe in ways that Japanese has yet to do. Take Boom Studio's Power Ranger comics for example. They create new stories and most of all, new original exclusive Ranger suits and zords to boot. I want Kamen Rider adaptations to be able to do that too, either in the show or in the Comics if possible.
Heck, maybe further Kamen Rider adaptations from this Rider Potential could connect one another to form that expanded universe itself. Although, it's best to follow Japan's example in annual show system where they create new Series for each year. Having too many episodes in one season won't do much good, too. At least movies, specials, and minor inclusion of past series' elements are enough to expand a single series.
Thanks! I agree, it would be really cool for adaptations to connect to each other like Power Rangers, but for my ideas I’m keeping them self-contained since I don’t know what may get adapted first
@@thomasjujube it's totally fine. Also, I'd like for the adaptation to make new gears, weapons and even vehicles like the ones we have in Dragon Knight (sad that it won't be used for a long time). I think the vehicle fight scenes could be more prominent than in Japan since it won't be restricted by ridiculous traffic laws. I hope you can do more of this in the future. :D

Can you please cover kamen rider fourze? That is the first rider show I watched completely and loved it.
I have never seen Kamen Rider but I would love to see it adapted because the designs are so appealing to me
aside from Decade and Zi-o, the various season are disconnected from eachother (crossover films aside), so you can jump in from anywhere. a good starting point is W, while other lighter ones are Den-o and Fourze, while Gaim become very dark and gritty
My favorites are fourze and ooo
To be fair, the belts ARE cobbled together by Sento in universe, but none of them could match Sento making the system work so they didn't even dare to change the belts despite it creating a design dissonance with the suits.

Honestly I was rather hesitant to watched Build because he has so many forms!
(Wizard for example has like 14 and every only use like half those forms for most of the series, some r use only twice)
The many forms is just so they could make more toys and money (hate when they do that)
But when I finally gave Build a try, I love it so much, made me forgive those many forms for toys
Build’s rabbit and rabbit forms is my personal favorite
I love Build for the way it was so I actually don’t want there to be a American adaptation (but not like it’s gonna happened lol)

@@thomasjujube Well you have the aptitude for this and I'm amazed that you have every base covered. And tbh, I'm shocked at the overall price for all of the merch if KR Build would be adapted into the west. Btw why is the other stuff not included tho? Like the Prime Rogue Item and Figure and Grease Perfect Kingdom Item and Figure as well. Also throw in the Hokuto 3 Crows as well. Why those stuff ain't included? Is there a reason why? I'm sure hope you have clear explanation for that.
I only use forms and gear seen in the show proper as it’s usually unlikely the specials get used. And for rider potential I try to stay away from monster stuffs since there’s so many of them

You should add this technicality in your future Rider Potential Vids. Or i might have missed it. But anyway, good point, can't argue with that.
If Power Rangers Beast Morphers and Kamen Rider Build had a crossover, I can imagine a scene where Build fights Zoey in his Rabbit Tank form and Build fighting Ravi in his Gorilla Diamond form. Also I can imagine a scene where Kamen Rider Evolt and Evox working together to defeat the Power Rangers and Kamen Riders.

Nikolai Blagov what if Hasbro bought the rights to the Kamen Rider Evolt suit and you see Evox in the form of Kamen Rider Evolt fighting the Rangers. Also wouldn’t it be cool to see mayor Daniels equiped with the Evol Driver?

What I want to see in my version of the adaptation is Pandora's Box used to make World War 3.

I enjoy both Rogues who have their own identities. If there's a Mii-tan in the show, have a K-Pop star take it up with aegyo. Leave the names Build, Cross-Z, Grease, Rogue, Evol, etc.
I hope you continue this segment. I wanna see Kamen Rider go "Arrowverse" as a multiverse. Separating Dragon Knight & Masked Rider.
i would love if hasbro did the build rider series and i'd watch it from star to finish
It really will be years before hasbro things of buying anything toku other than power rangers cause of all the money that was spent to get it in the first place. That being said, it would be beyond amazing to start with build cause that's the show that got me into rider. Should it get adapted, it be cool to have crossovers with power rangers just like they do with sentai. It would have to have a ton of original footage so I'm pretty sure all of this is just wishful thinking for the far away future

Im hoping the two rider series that disappointed me the most, ghost (which wasn't that bad) and Build (which I abhorred) get adapted

This looks awesome because I love build it well made season for a hard story
I'm curious what age demographic would be considered. Kamen Rider's target audience is slightly older than Sentai's, that being the 12-14 age range compared to Sentai's 10-12, so would an American Adaptation do the same? Who knows? Maybe they can at least get away with saying the words "Kill" "Death" and "Die".
My question is how would Genius form be used?
I wouldn’t use Genius form since I don’t like it and I Cross-ZBuild works better as a final form with my ideas
I Remember think of a build adaptation while on the toilet and thought how when adapted to could change from kamen rider build to kamen rider construction and laughed at how dumb i thought the name sounded

When Kamen Rider Dragon Knight received higher ratings than Ryuki in Japan but is still considered as a failure ;-;

I JUST HAD AN IDEA AFTER REWATCHING THIS. THE REASON WHY ROGUE AND GREASE CAN'T FUSE IS BECAUSE THE SCLASH SYSTEM ISN'T CAPABLE OF IT BECAUSE OF ITS SINGLE BOTTLE USE, SO WHEN THEY GET THEIR UPGRADE FROMS AND USE THE BUILD SYSTEM, THEY CAN THEN FUSE INTO GREASE'S PERFECT FORM SINCE PURPLE IS MIXED FROM RED AND BLUE
The singular system of the Sclash Drivers is what I was thinking about with those but I didn’t think of red/blue working for Rogue on Grease Perfect! That’s awesome!

What I would love to see for the end of your adaptation to Kamen Rider Build would be that 2 new bottles appear Build uses the bottles to see what they are as he does he changes into a new form and these bottles were Doctor and Video Games bottles and then we get the next season logo which would be Ex-Aid I was thinking that if they were to next adapt Ex-Aid it would work as they could use the bottles from the 4 Heisei Generations Final.
But for the figures you just release the symmetrical versions of all the forms, but then have it so they all have removable armor and gear that peg into the core figure. that way there's a creative aspect to it. also more playability and will most likely last longer and can be used to further convince people to buy more figures just for the equipment.

I think for an idea for figures is that we get half the suit for like 6 or 8 dollars and it comes with the full bottle for that part of the suit so we can have the mix and match feature for build

Why was Ryuki on the poll? I thought it was already adapted.
It would be a separate production from if Hasbro did it now so if they did more Kamen Rider adaptations they would probably re-do Ryuki

I think the gold rabbit and silver dragon would be a prototype of cross build in the back of a set in the show so I think it would be a limited edition bottles and figures so it makes sense if they had it so kids would I want to turn in to that form or for collectors for their collection

Jk, I get why people don't like the suit, but for me personally, one of Build's failing points, aesthetically, was slowly devolving into something that felt more like generic Rider, when a defining attribute of the Post-Decade Heisei lot were the distinct oftentimes outthere design choices which expanded the definition of what a Kamen Rider could be.
Cross-Z unfortunately, often got the shorter end of the stick in this regard. His base form is a slightly more ornamented Build suit without the mixy-match colors scheme. I love Magma, but nothing about it really defines it as a Build suit outside of the belt. Rogue, same problem.
And that's where Cross-Z Charge comes in. Silver suit, boxy shoulders that gave it a unique silhouette, chunky, but otherwise sleek. The dragon logo proudly on the chest, and that crystal-esque helmet with the bright orange eyes underneath as if it's glowing through. _So good._
I got the impression that the Grease design was played alot safer than Cross-Z Charge, since it was, at the time, the only suit that he was going to get. For all intents and purposes, he has a dark gray helmet with red eyes, not nearly achieving the "looking through crystalline jelly" thing Cross-Z has goin on. Chest is... fine. Not a logo, mechanical vents. Fits the suit, but not nearly as interesting. Shoulders, obviously intentionally super-robot-esque, do their job.
Quick tangent about Evol. Really like the suits, but they belong in a more intrinsically space themed Rider show. I could easily see him clashing against the Fourze lot as their evil Rider. Forget Evol Rabbit and Evol Dragon, Kamen Rider Evol would be absolutely dope with Zodiarts themed form changes.
My complaints about aesthetic aside, in a hypothetical scenario where Build is the first Rider get a Western adaptation after so long, I can't argue that the more generic symmetrical look of most of the later suits does a good job in setting a baseline standard for later series to follow.
Yes, I absolutely _adore_ Build Genius. Unique looking suit, with a striking silhouette, you can't deny that it's a "Build" suit through and through. The color scheme isn't clashy like the base forms, but it manages to invoke the basic Rabbit-Tank all the same.

So, would genius form technically be a super form?
I hate Cross-z Charge but I can see it working if it was the original transformation but it will still use the Base form transformation equipment. After he bonds with the Dragon bottle or whatever is required when he transforms its the charge form but it explodes off of him (like the essence is building up and Charge can't contain it) revealing the actual suit. Then the transformation to his base form remains the same from Build itself.
Going to continue through his other forms
After a certain point, Cross-z starts to change becoming Great Cross-z because the user is getting stronger (and the form starts to emit steam on occasion) and when it gets to much, Great Cross-z melts away revealing Cross Magma.
Dispite gaining access to Magma, it's unstable and prolonged use can cause the user to be nocked right back to Cross-z Charge (similar to how Kuuga's White form works) so Sento creates the Magma Nuckle to keep the form stable because he wants to help his friend as a token of thanks for risking his life bringing him back to the light after Black Hazard went on to kill hundreds of innocent citizens and in a small way its the beginning of what he deems a long way back (I'd scrap the second invasion arc from Build and focus on Hazard)
I feel like this is stupid questuon but since you said Crozz-Build will be the final form, does Build Genuis still make an appearance and what about Prime Rouge as well as Evol's Monster Form?
Prime Rogue could appear but it doesn’t have to. I don’t think that Genius and the monster form need to appear since I’m switching Cross-Z Build to the final form which would probably require some new fight scenes

Consider: Prime Rogue already had gold on the design.
Since that pair would probably need to shoot new footage anyway. (Grease Blizzards footage is all kinda dark, and three houses is only in the climax of a movie which would be in a higher resolution than the TV stock footage)
Plus means Hasbro can reuse the Double bottle mold for the Prime Rogue bottle
it also might be a cool way to set this theoretical series apart from power rangers by having a woman with a super form

Here's how I would change some things.
Night Rogue would become Kamen Rider Rogue but his sister (an original character) would take the sclash driver and become the second Kamen Rider Rogue to redeem her family name. So Night Rogue would become Kamen Rider MadRogue
Kamen Rider Grease's origins would be changed to being an orphan during the Skywall Tragedy that joined in the invasion so he can fund for the orphanage and other starving families.

If kiva was to ever be adapted, although it might be risky, there should be a religious motif to it. Obviously kiva is going to be a vampire but not the usual kind instead his ancestor ( who later will be dark kiva) fell in love with a human girl basically thinning out the vampire genes through the generations. Demons will be the bad guys ofc but some want to have kiva join them instead of killing him. Basically giving him his three form. The three would be his generals: the wolf, the banshee, and dogga. The only thing that is stopping him is other demons and the church ( not any specific Christian religion but just a church). This is where Ixa would be introduced as a pastor but given that Ixa has many forms multiple people would be able to use his power. This could be a way to explain to people that religion and belief could be used for their own selfish or selfless desires. Which brings me to how Ixa rising would be obtained. Basically my idea would be a soldier from the military lost faith but still did everything he could to do what is right. He unlocks Ixa rising by once again believing that his destiny is to help others. Kiva emperor would be obtained by kiva accepting the fact that neither can he fit into society with humans unless he wants to be killed by the church and he can’t accept being a demon because of his humanity. So his emperor form is unleashed as his chains that suppress him from making that decision break free and he becomes his own option: the option be a king of his own path. Dark kiva comes along and is like no you’re a vamp that won’t change. The three generals don’t want him to fall to the dark side and then the dogabaki emperor form is achieved and that is how dark kiva is destroyed. There could be an aspect to where kivas dad is missing and comes back to later take dark kivas power for himself and then help his son like the Japanese show. I’d like to call it kamen rider Drac ( I kept kamen rider because it seems more natural than power rider or masked rider).

is not toei; around '09 japan passed some stricter rules onto the use of bikes and motorbikes, that's why now we mostly see the rider going in straight lines and sometimes jumping (and green screen them is more costly that one would think)
