That is likely a cinder cone, or perhaps a tuff cone (which has more ash and cemented material than puffy cinders). They are small vents, like little side vents, that erupt for a few days to weeks, then go silent forever. They exist in volcanic areas near plate boundaries, or near a hotspot like Hawaii, with larger volcanoes nearby that are the main vents which get larger because they erupt over and over. This is the edge of the Santan Mountains, which was an uplift about 15 to 5 million years ago from the tectonic forces moving CA northward, which is stretching (extending) Arizona and Nevada. The crust gets thinner in extension and some uplifted mountains and volcanoes can pop up. That little cone has a small crater in the center, and it's such a perfect cone, that it's likely a cinder cone volcanic vent.

I’m not a Geologist but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I have also been doing a little studying about Geology in general. That mountain looks like a typical remnants of a cinder cone. If you look at Google earth, just to the northwest there appears to be an old volcano. It is pretty clear from above. This is part of the San Tan Regional park. “Proterozoic and Laramide granites are the predominant geology of the park, while Mid-Tertiary sedimentary and volcanic rocks overlay Proterozoic and Cretaceous crystalline rocks in the central and eastern portions.”

I had to go back and see how long I been watching you, and it's been about 3 years on and off. With that said, it's even crazier that you moved to my state. I'll run into eventually because I'm everywhere.
Some of us, our running day have passed. We no longer bounce, landing with more of a thud. Followed by long moments of self-evaluation and a check for the taste of blood. Cool video and great to see how open the onlookers in Arizone are. This trip certainly has the Icarus race vibes. Perhpas you should do that again with the benefits of more experience and the comfort of the 4 stroke. The Icarus series is still some of the best videos you put out.
Not Paramotor stuff, but back in the 90's when I was flying Ultralights, there is a truck stop and resturant at exit 3 on the Ohio Turnpike with a nice grass strip and we'd land there and pull up to the pumps for fuel. Got lots of attention. I'll never be able to enjoy your hobby but I've been watching your videos fron almost the begining. Good stuff.

Circle K has the best 'road coffee'. A couple years ago they replaced all the pump-thermos with machines that allow you to select a choice of beans. It grinds them and makes a cup, all for a couple dollars. The concept is spreading, say goodbye to pump-thermos.

Definitely looks like a volcano. But I don’t think it’s a cinder or tuff cone as some people have suggested in the comments. The weathering pattern looks to me much more like a rhyolite dome. Basically a lava flow with a viscosity very close to the viscosity of a glacier. Can't be certain without looking at a rock sample though.
Yeah, we need a rock sample to be sure. I think it's a volcanic cone because it's such a perfect cone and it has a little crater exactly in the center top, which implies an explosive eruption. Tucker could resolve this by landing at the base with a hammer and digging up a few handfuls of rock going up the slope a bit.
So much building going on there. Wow. That landing spot may will be a short-lived memory. As for AZ being more open to things, they sure are, but as we all know, karens are everywhere these days,...even watching the skies for people landing to get gas, lol. Cheers.

Talking about winds, I was flying the paramotor trike in Flight Sim 2024 yesterday with 35 mph wind and I ended up essentially frozen in place pointing into the wind when I tried to land it. Everything just sort of equalized and I found myself more or less stuck above the ground with no forward motion lol.
5L for $1.93! DAYM! just did the conversion, that's AU$0.63 a liter... we haven't had that price since 1990! (5L today would cost AU$9.47 which is US$5.87)

I landed my UL when on XC's near truck stops a lot back in the day, they usually are have room and are on the edge of town.

Talking about winds, I was flying the paramotor trike in Flight Sim 2024 yesterday with 35 mph wind and I ended up essentially frozen in place pointing into the wind when I tried to land it. Everything just sort of equalized and I found myself more or less stuck above the ground with no forward motion lol.
I have a gravel driveway so I'm somewhat of a geologist myself, that is what we call an earth titty.

True. But what other option do I have? Can’t just empty the hose on the ground. 🤷♀️
@ About the only thing you can do is go from pump to pump with your calculator and determine what grade the previous customer purchased by dividing the price by the gallons.
