It’s insane how so many people have shared experiences with health professionals not being able to correctly treat injuries like this, or even being able point you in the right direction to get proper help. These videos are extremely helpful as when I visit physical therapist I’m far more educated on being able to point them in the right direction which is Ridiculous in itself
@User Agreed. I'm a Fitness, health and wellbeing pro and I've been around people who have degrees and I know more than them. My highest qualification is a Level 4 Diploma.
Coul you please continute to make videos regarding flexion intolerence, extension intolerance, rotation intolerance and load intolerance and how to deal with them (how to alter the workout system and moves to cure them, the necessary duration for the healing process, what to do ,what not to do). As far as I can see, including professionals, nearly everybody suffers from lower back pain sooner or later. Unfortunately, there are not many experts like you around the world who understand both sports and the body.
Hello, Doc Thanks for providing such valuable content. Just want to know is there any alternative to bamboo bar, like a kettlebell or something else with the same effect.
While rolling in my BJJ class I felt something pop. It felt like I broke a rib. I went to the ER but they found no broken bones. For a week it was a nightmare to sneeze, hiccup or cough. I went from doing 30 reps on pull ups to barely being able to do 6. Any advice would help. Note: after some research I found that I might have injured one of my posterior inferior serratus muscles.
I would love to know more about her symptoms, I have similar issues but when I bend at the hips my torso quickly jogs over to the left slightly and hurts in my lumbar spine (I think right between L5 and L4).
I have the same pain since last year.it comes and goes, I am not sure what cause it. How long did it take for her to recover? And when did she started lifting heavy again? (My pain started when I was performing deadlift (230kg.) at the forth rep I felt something in the right side of the lower back. After few hours the pain started. It doesnt hurt normaly but if i stand up straight without moving for longer time it starts to hurt. I will be glad if you can help me from distance.) Greetings from Bulgaria.
In my experience lowback pain goes away with stretching (laying on your back while trying to take your legs behind your head with your knees flexed). Last time I had backpain I did that, cracked my lower back twice and my pain went away(I was sore the next day on the low back though),your slipped discs won't go away magically, you need to decompress it and stretch the muscle. Imagine if you had shoulder pain and you were told that instead of stretching and doing things like holding an elastic band with your arm at parallel to the ground to stretch or dead hang from the bar you were told to just do overhead presses with less weight until it goes away. I seriously don't know why decompression and stretching is not used more to cure low back pain, most people just advice you to lift in different manners with less weight. Edit: You can also use gravity boots for low back pain.
Because stretching provides only a temporary relief and with time can lead only to greater pain. Decompression is good, but not the muscle stretch you described. Watch this video for a more detailed explanation: ruclips.net/video/bcbuhePZZj0/видео.html
All other videos i saw on this problem , say butt wink shall be avoided at 3.30 the athelete goes little below the parallel squat aka butt wink position, now i am confused.
I’m suffering lower back pain from last 3 years, it started Because of dead lifting in wrong posture. I could bare the pain in starting but from last 15 months it is killing me, I can’t stand for more than 5 mins and can’t drive car for a long time. I did MRI test 2 times and got to know that I’m having slip disc in L4 and L5, S1 and many other problems in my back. I’m been taking cared by a physiotherapist from last 5 6 weeks. But nothing is helping me out. I have sciatica pain in both the legs and can’t stretch my legs in seating position. NOW I started doing McGill 3 exercises and will be doing the exercise’s shown in this video. I’m not able figure out which type of sciatica pain I have…so better I’ll do all the exercises. I wanted to ask that can I do LEG EXTENSIONS and GLUTE PRESS in gym ? Cuz my trainer suggested me to do that but in the video Doctor is telling not to stretch our legs…? Doctor or anyone from you can please suggest me what to do ?
I dont have pain in any of those tests yet my back hurts. I have bulging disk but doctor says its not compressing any nerves. What could it be reason for pain, lasting for years now?
Hi Aaron, I have a client of mine that has a low back pain. Her doctor said that she needs a surgery. But her doctor didn't examined her. He only saw her MRI results. I tried the drop test but when I said to her to stiff her abdominal wall and perform the drop test but the pain was more intense now. Why this happened? Thank you
I don't have pain during any of these tests. But I have pain while standing and bending. Can you please help me. I want to deadlift again. It started a week ago. When I deadlifted 80 kg with 1 hand. Please help me doctor.
Hi, Im having lower back pain, what do u think IT might be? Conventional deadlift is really painful ( Its like i do not expert pain, it just hits). I switched to sumo And Its way better propably because of less erectors load. Is it overloaded lower back ?
Please help. I have extreme pain in my lower back, about 3 inches above sacrum on the left side. Almost at the crest of the hip. It makes it damn near impossible to squat, the pain is mostly triggered rolling over in bed, doing a Turkish get up, it is painful to even walk. I can’t figure out if it’s flexion intolerance, extension intolerance, or both. I think load might make it worse. McGill Big three hasn’t been helping much it seems like. I was doing them daily before and after the injury. I am supposed to start the sf q course in a couple months. I NEED to be at my strongest by that time. That is why I am attempting to contact you. Thank you.
@Good Hi there, I'm a Fitness, health and wellbeing pro. Try a pre stretch-Neck stretch exercise-look it up and, Shoulder shrugs which will strengthen your Sternocleidomastoid process. .
I have been struggling with back pain that stop me going to the gym. Start February of this year. I have done scans mri xray, no pathology present. I have rested and take muscle relaxants. What could be the cause of This pain.?

It’s honestly crazy how much I relate to this. Why are these chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists so ignorant to common things?
This is why I don't even bother with the doctor recommended PT. I can literally get better guidance from a RUclips channel.
The medical system of the West is a joke.

Do you have a video on how to lift or bend over with back pain?

How long does a treatment plan like this last?
Is pain in SI joint considered as low back pain?

How do you correct unilateral weakness? My right side dominates most of the time and feels like it fatigues faster from the extra load.
Does she have anterior pelvic tilt?

Hi Aaron, how many kilos do you use for this test for women and men respectfully ?
Thank you
Usually a very light weight - maybe 5-10 kg for most - if it's a really strong guy maybe jump up to 15 kg
