Hauling White Pine logs that were cut from a site (shown in my videos "The Forest Job") 1987 DM Mack Engine 237. Transmission 6 speed Mack walking beam suspension
Count your blessings James, you’re driving the best trucks ever, these new trucks aren’t for real truck drivers they’re just for steering wheel holders most don’t even have a gear shift 😒
No messing driver, these new trucks are for crap and automatic….. what is that? The “R” models are the bomb. Had a one stack Mack CH 613…. Loved it. You are right no money in Logging got to roll to make tonnage and a decent check for the week Lord forbid if using USED equipment and have a break down. The state ( Alabama) is trying its best to put the independent drivers out of business. Thanks for sharing nice piece of equipment.
@@geraldosteen2357 no offense but back in the 90s the last R model I ever drove was a 300 6 speed air shift and I did heavy oversize and then the company gave me a ch 400 with an 8 speed double low and I hated, after driving R U and F models for over 20 years after those trucks there was no more Macks 😥
Thanks, I think everyone will find it interesting. And I’ve got a longer haul video on the way as well. Someone asked for an ASMR style video so I did my best haha
Thank you for that. Good video in the Mack you sure Can hit them Gears good bro Looking forward for Video of the Mack log truck hauling logs that was a real good good Camera shot in the cab I really like hearing the old Mack Mack Going through the gears be safe on the road my friend
Thanks for the ride. Always enjoy the Mack videos. I've heard people refer to the green mack as a U models and the boxy looking hoods as the Dm models i know you see them as coal truck a lot.
Yeah so these cabs are a U model configuration but the U model is a light duty truck the DM is a heavy truck made for Dump trucks and Mixers these are DM600s Those coal trucks are a DM800
By the way I subscribed to your channel I find myself checking out all your community post of the tractor shows. I like seeing classic tractors. You’re Red, around here we are Orange in Green country haha
@@MarkGrant-ew3wk yep one hasn’t ran for a while the other hasn’t for close to 15 years. It’s going to be a little while till I have something going with them but I wanted to give a little hint.
Camera angle is perfect! Love watching the shifting action! I’m jealous of that truck. Wish I still had my dad’s
