I have a lot of basil to pinch and a dehydrator. You have inspired me to preserve it today. Maybe some basil salt or some other creation will result. I have a question. Would you consider making content about growing herbs from seed and how you keep them alive to harvest them? This is a struggle for me. I did have cilantro for the fall and basil varieties for this summer. I started herb seeds appropriate for the growing season, but they didn't make it after germination or transplant. I am also open to comments from viewers. There is an abundance of knowledge here that has been helpful and positive. Thank you.

I run a farm in Mississippi. We been harvesting for over a month. Already made most of my canning, freezing, and freeze drying goals. Got the second round planted now. And about to put up the second greenhouse and get it ready for fall.

I'm also making my own Italian seasoning blend. I habe a dehydrator, but I hang my herbs to dry because I need the dehydrator to preserve the garden produce. I agree with you that it smells amazing!

Hi Barbara, another great video on canning. You can make peach cobbler and pie from your peach harvest/purchase.

Freeze dried herbs are the best. You can crumble most herbs and mix or blend together as a rough mix. I like them better than powdered. But I do powder freeze dried onions, garlic and Also mix salt and grinder basil. Soooo good.

For the mint you can add it to a cheese cloth, soak it in your drink, remove it after it has soaked thoroughly so that the leaves aren't flowing around in your drink.

Listen I’m all for herbs but I despise okra 😂😅 I need to invest in a freeze dryer. As of now, I dry my herbs by hanging them in my pantry.
