same honestly, I've pre-ordered the game already since I'm a big DR1 fan and I'm excited for it. A lot of the criticism I've seen so far is on the removal of erotic pic opportunities, voice acting, and some dialogue changes. Now me personally, I'm not at all upset with these changes but I do get why others are. photography was something I never really engaged with since like you said, leveling up through pictures was a bit tedious so I don't really mind the removal of erotica, at the same time I do agree it was not necessary to remove it. The voice acting seems good enough, brads was the only one that i felt was lackluster, but still solid. As for the dialogue changes, it not a deal breaker for me but yea i do agree cliff's new choice of words seems really stupid. Great video overall

I've been on a Dead Rising run too since they announced it lol! I did both versions of DR2 and Case West and Zero. Haven't got around to replaying 3 yet will probably leave that for after Deluxe Remaster releases. But yeah I agree with you, the gameplay upgrades are the main reason I'm so excited for this game
I didn’t mind the removal of the Erotica category; it was a minor aspect of the original that I barely noticed and quickly forgot. However, removing features from the original game does come across as censorship, especially when those features didn't significantly affect the gameplay. I can understand why some quests tied to this category might be altered, and I’m not thrilled about the changes to certain psychopathic bosses. Despite these issues, I’m still planning to buy the game.
I just recently got the platinum trophy for the original. I will get this but probably not as a day 1 purchase. Idc about them modernising it since people literally complain about anything these days. What i do care about though is paying £45 for the same game as i just platinumed without any noteworthy changes other than QoL.
And also for the censorship, capcom also removed “erotica” photos from the game. Which to be honest while I’m not exactly mad they did, I’m more so question why they did. I mean you can legitimately photograph the dead bodies of zombies and survivors (if they die in someway), so there fine with that but erotica photos are to much now? It just does not make sense honestly. Also since they did remove erotica photos I’m now wondering how there going to handle Kent and Cheryl’s missions. Kent’s mission literally requires an erotica photo to fully complete and Cheryl’s survivor quest is she asks you to take photos of her in the safe room, which nets you erotica photos (if you do save her). My guess is there probably just change the required photo you need for Kent’s mission and for Cheryl you just won’t get any erotica rating or whatever when you take pictures of you but we’ll just have to wait and see what they do when the game releases
For those that will play it the first time, don't be discouraged if you die a lot, you keep the points and better yet if you play the first section of the game over and over you'll reach max level in a couple hours.

Honestly I’ve also seen people complain about Larry the butchers new design, and while I understand not liking the new design I personally think it’s fine and it actually fits with dead risings story a little bit now.

Im getting this on pc for the purpose of enjoying a more modernized version of Dead Rising as well as downloading mods that will likely bring back the stuff they censored out.
I've already pre ordered the game as a huge dead rising fan so regardless of all the changes that people seem to unhappy with in my opinion most of the bad voice acting from what I've seen comes from the survivors you find scattered throughout the mall Brad's voice acting is questionable but I don't think it's godawful his voice matches with how he looks in terms of age that's why I'm mixed on Brad's voice as for the others jessie is fine Frank's I think you get use to it the more you hear it Otis is fine carlito is also fine honestly the best voice acting I've heard so far is Adam I don't know who the voice actor they got for Adam is but he did a pretty good cause he sounds very similar to the original voice actor so yeah I mean cencerchip sucks butt I'm not going to let that kill my excitement for the game the game still has several weeks before it releases so they have plenty of time to fix things and hopefully if it's true that the game is too easy then hopefully they add a difficulty setting
I'm replaying this period DR, probably for the 20th time. I can't express how much I love everything about this game and DR2 as second best game. I only can't stand Bill's AI and the two Japanese tourists. 😂 I like the fact that there is a remake to play, but I disagree with how the game feels visually (character faces, washed out colours of the environment and modern UI and arrows) and with the voice overs. In other words I dislike the new "cinematography" of DR, but as game-play I'm sure it will be great and we'll have tons of fun again!

But there seems to be a trend of catering to the overly sensitive or inserting a lot of diversity for the sake of diversity elements into games lately that I think is at the point where people completely get turned off from any of it even when it’s really minor stuff like with this game. Also to me it is kind of odd that some extremely violent games are looking to remove any form of sex appeal. You’re already murdering people and slaughtering things so I think a lady with some cleavage is the least of the moral quandaries. Or the current gaming industry does not like that attractive people exist as it makes the large player base of unattractive people feel bad but I’m speculating.

The asian Psychopath was actually funny and it wasn’t even because he was asian although that adds to the charm. He was a happy butcher with a reputation to uphold! Removing Cliffs PTSD communist dialogue for Vietcong. Removing all we come to know and love for a cheap nostalgia grab. Do I have your attention now?! Everything to appeal to the woke mainstream media. So that is the deal breaker. Oh and not to mention making the game way easier pretty much making it less rewarding when beating a tough game. And also making the game more grim and taking everything seriously versus just having a goofy sandbox story for a good time.

My guess is that if they are adding an option for the old DR1 controls then there should be an option for auto saves

The VA for brad in the OG was so good. Extremely disappointed with the new acting besides maybe Otis
I'm mixed on it some characters like Jessie and Adam The Clown sound good but others like Brad sound bad
