- In addition to getting REALLY lucky in having gregory porter and amythyst kiah singing on ‘natural blues’ i also got lucky in that we were able to record almost all of the musicians and orchestras before the pandemic started. Moby, you're pure genius. I love this reprise version although I must say the original version and I go back a long way. I was working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean in 2001 when a colleague introduced me to Play. I instantly fell in love and am forever grateful to the colleague for the incredible gift of Moby.

Really great version of this song, very powerful and beautiful! Everyone I know who has heard it loves it! Looking forward to the rest of the songs for the Reprise album! But I also very much enjoy and appreciate videos like these, where you describe in detail the creative process that goes into each song. I love that!

@@JamesMPetro Yeah I think it's awesome that Moby goes to the trouble of explaining how he put it together. Then he says he's out of breath, because he's excited. Well, yeah, I would be too, after all that work, and creating what turned out to be a truly inspired work of art, and it's fantastic. I think the entire reprise album, when he's all finished with it, is really going to be something special that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

On the Play tour in 2000, the late Diane Charlemagne sang Natural Blues and and several other tracks from this and previous albums. Charlamagne was most famous for her work with Goldie on the track "Inner City Life." Such a gorgeous song.
An amazing track. I just wish the breakdown/strings/orchestra in the middle went around twice like in the original. There's barely enough time to appreciate it. Kiah and Porter take my soul to another place.

Moby has been a powerful creative force in music for 30 years, and he is only getting better as he ages. Brilliant artist! The first time I heard his music was in 1992, and let me tell you, it was something fresh and inspiring, completely different from anything else out there at the time. And it was great music, and felt good, made your soul feel good.
I'm really looking forward to the release of this album - especially because I'm waiting for my pre-ordered vinyl!
