Cho has several meanings. Here, it is being used to designate "district" or neighborhood . The Gion District is a part of Kyoto, where the Geisha culture is preserved. Kyoto and nearby Nara are a kind of living historical site, like Williamsburg, Virginia, for Americans. Many temples, shrines, gardens, etc. An area where many crafts (sword making, woodblock printing, silk manufacturing, etc.) are maintained by masters, and past on to apprentices. Kyoto certainly has all the latest technology, but maintaining the culture is very important for them.
This music video should have won some awards. This song was a new composition for the CD from the genius that is Kanami/Miku, all the other 6 were previously recorded songs with the traditional instruments added.
MAIKO sounds like “my-ko.” So: - Secret MY Lips - Secret MAIKO Lips MAIKO are apprentice GEISHA. GION-CHO is the district in Kyoto where the traditional geisha houses are located.

💜💛❤💙💚 I spent a day in Kyoto visiting all the locations in the video. Unfortunately the temple was closed when I was there. Only Hatoko and Umemisa's parts are filmed in "Gion", The others are in different locations on the other side of the city.
The lyrics were also written in the Kyoto Dialect, so some of the words used are very different than everyday (Tokyo/Kanto) Japanese you would hear where I live in Yokohama. And yes, it was filmed in Kyoto, but you probably figured that out in the end.
Gion-Cho is a proper noun. "Raise your butt up" refers to the posture maiko must learn to become geisha but also means to get up off your behind and do something with your life. The song is a love letter to the Gion district.
