- In this particular video we head back to national forest camping on the Mogollon Rim, I go over some camping etiquette listed at the visitor center and also checkout a new camping spot.
Welcome to my channel PandaMonium. My name is Ausia and my dog's name is Moo-moo... my rig is the Lucky Panda, a 28ft 2018 Coachmen Leprechaun towing a 2008 Chevy Colorado or sometimes a trailer and 2014 Can-Am Maverick 4 wheeler. I live full-time in a motorhome off the grid with 700ah of Battle Born lithium batteries and 950 watts of solar. My channel is about living and traveling in my RV to different locations across the U.S. with various friends that I call my tribe, where we camp, hike, bike, paddle board, 4 wheel, go to events and venues, eat at different restaurants and explore new places. Certain times of the year I'm at my homestead in Williams the high desert of Northern Arizona where we are working on projects, homesteading, gardening and try to practice permaculture and being off grid & self-reliant. Just wanting to be honest & open I am transgender and part of the LGBT community. I welcome anybody with an open mind and heart.

Hello Ausia , thanks for taking us along. The new camp site looks great. The RV park that you guys were at was nice also ! 50 bucks a night though is pretty good for full hookups. We have paid as much as 100 a night. Love the updates and info! Thanks for sharing.

Another entertaining video. Youre the best! I discovered that camping area about 20 years ago when it was still a "secret." Last 10 years or so tougher to get a site. Now that the 300 is paved I imagine it will always be full. The spacing of the sites is GREAT!

Wow, that's actually great gas pricing. I was just up in Washington state driving through Walla Walla and it was 4.50. As soon as I got into Montana it dropped by a $1/gallon. I'm back in Idaho now and it's a bit cheaper down here.

Last time I was up on the rim close to Payson the Forest Service kicked me out twice because of fire dangers so then I moved to Colorado where I got kicked out again!

its been so long since i been up there. did not know they paved the road. took that 300 road before. beatiful drive. not for a rig your size though. last june i pulled a friends travel trailor
up to forest lakes for the summer. just a little farther east on 260. check out the lakes around there.

There was a dirt FS road that was accessed right from near the visitors center that followed the rim edge and had camp spots I used to go out there and drum and the rim edge when I live in Show Low.

Always get your gas early in the morning when the ground is cool. You will get a full gallon, getting gas after the ground is hot from the sun. You don't get a full gallon.
Try filling a 1 gallon jug. Mark a line on the level .
Pour gas in the tank, and come back to the same pump before the sun goes down later that day. It should be 1 or 2 inches down.

Don't go on cr 300 it gets really bad after the pavement ends really bumpy and not enough turn around , the dirt road by the ranger station goes in a sercal and joints the young road their a lot a free camps their or taking a right on young road it's 3 miles past the ranger station good luck hope that helps. And are more free camping places on 260 going to show low .you can actually spend the hole summer for free. Only 14 days stay.

I think I’m going to have to talk my boring husband into coming out that way for some camping. He is afraid of critters so I don’t know what he will say lol. I don't know? If I was to get a piece of homestead property. I think I would absolutely, build myself a home. On the property. Lego style. Out of Shipping Containers. Those are designed to withstand, Hurricanes. For decades. And you can, secure them to the ground. Strap them down. So not even a tornado can take it away. I wouldn't bother with those stupid, little wooden shack shed homes. Those are a waste of money. Those are stupid. Those are not homes. They are sheds. With a bathroom. And they will blow apart in a storm. I don't want that. No.
So shipping containers make modular homes. Each one a different environment. A different theme. Collect an entire set! Make just one a bedroom. They just want a living room. Make just one a kitchen dining room. Make one the Entertainment Room. You can just add as you go. You can even stack them! 10 hi if you want to? They snap together. You can also create a nightclub and shopping center with shipping containers. They only make sense. And many have gorgeous hardwood floors. You simply need to sand stain and seal. Mine looked great.. I was very happy with it. And reflects a lot of light. So great when you don't have Windows. I don't like Windows. I like security. I've got surveillance cameras all around. So I don't need Windows. If I want to be sleeping at 3 PM. I want it to look like 3 AM. Inside. I don't want a hint of daylight. Not a glimpse. I used to work the overnight shift. I really needed a, dark, bedroom. I needed a 3 AM bedroom at 3 PM. It was tough. But I made the sacrifice.
The worst part about working the overnight shift was? You can't get a steak dinner. You can only get a steak breakfast. And no bake potatoes at 9 AM. God dammit! It's always something.. I don't want hashbrowns I want baked! With my steak! But no! Not available at 9 AM. And I don't like to cook.. I should've purchased stock in McDonald's and Taco Bell, years ago. But no! I was stupid! I invested in my recording studio. And I'm now out of business. Because of a virus I couldn't even see! It got into everything! And screwed us all up..
So now all I have is my, Monaco Knight. 22 years old from 2002. But it's new to me. And everything is stock and like new. It was only owned by a couple of retired couples. That never invited their grandchildren onto it. The last couple told me it was strictly for them. No grandchildren on the RV. Great! That's exactly what I wanted. From exactly the kind of people I wanted it, from. He was 88 and she was 85. They only owned it for a few years. They said they think they are the 2nd owner? They bought it from another elderly couple. They told me. And it has never gotten flooded. They have said. And it does not look like it has ever been flooded. No telltale signs or smells. And I think I got a good one. Though I have not taken it on a long road trip, yet. Old retired folks don't generally have motorhomes that don't work. Especially when they live in a nice house. With nice things, inside. They appear to have self-respect. Though they could have fooled me? I will soon find out. When I take this on my first long trip out of Texas, forever. Hopefully it will get me out of Texas. That's all it really needs, to do. And I will hunker down in, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Southeast California. I don't care. Away from the big cities. But close enough to. Within a couple of hours time. Like within 200 miles. I don't need to be removed from people further, than that. As I still want to have unavailable,, Chinese buffet. I can't live without those Asian buffets. They are the best! Cheaper than going to the grocery store for the same stuff. And then having to prepare it, yourself. Screw that! I don't make good Chinese food. I would rather let the Chinese do that for me. Though. I don't mind catching my own sushi. But see urchins do not bite. They just go through the bottom of your foot. Then you have to make it to a hospital. But see urchin is delicious. When you only eat its, caviar. They make a lot of that. It is an acquired taste.. But once you get addicted to it. You are addicted, to it.. I know I am.
So I will have to pick my Boondocking, carefully. To always be near a, Chinese buffet. It's a moral imperative. You know how it is. It's so much better for you than McDonald's and Taco Bell. And as a Jew I believe I was an Asian. In a former life. And that's why Chinese restaurants are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. All the Jews come to visit and patronize the restaurants.
I'm sorry I have to go to the bathroom now. I can't hold the button down. Any longer.
