In Mainz we have a new stadium since summer 2011. From 1929-2011 we played in Mainz in the Bruchwegstadion. Behind the toilets of the standing area some people without a ticket for the match climbed over the fence a few minutes before the mtach began and friends of them came out of the block and gave them a ticket from another person in the block that they can go in block because in every stadium are ticket securities before the block.
Oh that is really hard... 19 years without watching a Liverpool match live in the stadium. I few months ago I saw a documentary about fans and tthe athmospheare today in England. A ManU fam and his friend haven't visited the Old Trafford since 2005 because of the high ticket prices and the low athmospheare. Their football event is in a pub, where they are allowd to drink beer and where they make their own athmospheare.

Pretty much well sums it up , i used to get in for free , as a kid my father would lift me over the turnstyles ,a lot of young got to go to the game that way during hard times in the seventies who otherwise would of missed out. Thats all gone now.I moved to Australia in 1982 , it has been 30 years my friend since i stood in the kop.
I met Bill Shankly in 1972/73 season and stood on The Kop. In amongst 23,500 Scouse fanatics and my feet rarely touched the deck. I was 18 and it was really something special. When Mr. Shankly had a scarf wrapped around his neck by a fan and he walked towards The Kop, I was standing right in the middle of it. This video doesn't do it justice to be honest and that Gerry Marsden should be gaoled for singing like that.

No matter what team you liked in your life. You should appreciate that the kop of liverpool, was the most famous stand in world football. Its great that liverpool never left anfield, looking for more money, and turning there back on there history. Liverpool will always be the kop. The kop will always be a memory for those whom remember what footbal originally was. Its gone today, as most teams today could not give a toss about there fans, and the role they play. Only really liverpool, and celtic still see there fans as important. So it was nice to see liverpool once again become kings of europe last season, even though i never watch football anymore. Liverpool still hold something, that most teams have long lost. Good for them. Todya football is kill or be killed, but there was once a time before the idiot alex ferguson, whom weaponised football(this is how he won with manu, while others had no idea during his years), when football had principles. Those days are long gone now, but it was nice to see fans play there role again in liverpools win last season, and show the world, that football still has some touch with the past, when football stood for something. Gone now, but its nice that occasionally these things will come to the surface again and again.

If they devoted the same energy to supporting their fellow humans via politics and demanding workers' rights instead of looking the other way, the desperation so many channel into football as a distraction would not be so pronounced.
