Agree completely, I love souness but after he took over from Kenny he totally ripped up the boot room way of things obviously the game needed to modernise but he tried to do things too fast and brutality which ended badly

Arne Slot has already proven to be an astute coach by coming in and assessing the squad. He didn't panic when no new players were brought in. Is making the most of an already settled team and using the players in a different way that compliments what Klopp has already built. His changed our structure and has already made us more defensively solid. Refreshing that we're not conceding 1st and chasing the game. Our forward line has goals in them with the midfield chipping in. We'll get better as the season progresses. Fantastic start to the season. Long may it continue.

For this match LFC won, because Slot has prepared the team mainly in tactical sense, according to Virgil. Thanks to Klopp the foundation is very good allowing Slot to perfect the gameplan against any opponent. This LFC will be very hard to beat, similar to Slot's previous squad: Feyenoord.

Yes, it's less gung ho to a degree. BUT we've only seen THREE games. What happens if/WHEN Liverpool fall behind in a game for instance (as sooner or later they are going to)? What happens if we fall behind significantly in the title race???
They're the same players with the same strengths and weaknesses. Whilst we have Robbo and Trent, we're always going to have fantastic crossers of the ball at full back, particularly TAA. Slot brought in a midfielder considerably more mobile than Endo - Gravenberch - who Klopp was blooding to the English game nice and gently. And in changing from a 433 to a 4231, yes, there's another subtle change.
But the differences in personnel and shape ARE hardly massive.
I remember when HARGREAVES was the next wonder player and FERGIE admitted OWEN was his worst ever signing..

Hargreaves is still a ManUtd fan, and it's hard to say anything good about LFC. He failed to admit that Slot improved the team by bringing balance to an already good team. Only an excellent coach or manager can do that.
If Hargreaves had that good an eye, he would be a manager at a top club, if not even at Man Utd. While talk and opinions are always easy, what happens in the dressing room, on the training ground, and on match day is different.
Gravenberch is a different player under Slot and will only improve with more games. It looks like he is coming of age in the PL under Slot. Players at LFC will all benefit from the new manager's ability to build better players from the existing ones. It's an excellent position for LFC for the next decade.

Slot's Liverpool don't play one no. 6. They play with a double DM. Gravenberch and Mac Allister have been deployed as the double 6 since this season started.
How is it that these guys failed to notice the fact that Mac Allister won more duels and tackles than every Liverpool player against Manchester United?
Against United, Gravenberch had a more advanced role than Mac Allister who sat back more (according to the heat map), but the so-called experts analysts still think Gravenberch is the only Liverpool's DM.
I'm even doubtful Zubimendi will function better than Gravenberch in this Liverpool's double 6 system.
When Salah signed for Chelsea it was because a deal with Liverpool fell through. Salah wanted to sign for Liverpool and jumped at the chance second time around. He wants to stay and he wants to own as many if not all of the records at the club! He has had the summer off this year and I believe he will be at his prolific best this season

What makes me laugh about these experts is that gravenberch used to play a 6 or 8 and you can see he's comfortable in that position. Tactics have evolved and so do Positions. Time will tell but so far we look solid. UTD was the first test we need to see what happens against Madrid, city arsenal etc
Mac and Grav are both more than capable of handling defensive mid rotating and Szobo can pitch in when needed, plus we have Endo who people may slate but as far as I'm concerned he's a great back up or can start against some teams. Our midfield is great, our attackers our world class and our defense is great.
With size, technical ability, brains and speed, he can easily transition to a #6.
I agree the real test will be against Madrid city and arsenal and we owe all 3 a beating😡

Liverpool need to sit down with Salah and sort out a two or three year contract. He is too good to let go now and could be the difference between success and failure for liverpool!
From a financial point of view, it is not profitable for them to enter into a contract. Mo Salah is at an age where this could be his last contract and will probably want to be paid well. On the other hand - now is the time to sell him to Saudi Arabia and bring in someone young. But Mo also deserved to finish his career at Liverpool. It's complicated...

Gravenberch are playing two 6s out of possession, Gravenberch and McAllister, and in possession McAllister or Gravenberch holds while the other moves the ball forward.
That's the biggest change under Slot, we're not giving up an early goal every game and holding a back line a lot further down the pitch.
