I greatly appreciate you making this video. Building out my 19 Alltrack and every guide I found showed pulling the DP which requires CV Shaft removal as well and adds hours to the job. I was able to get the turbo set for removal (FedEx delayed my gaskets and hardware -.-) in 3 hours. This was a great help, and another huge thanks for the Carbyne tools callout.
I finish my swap yesterday, what a pain! I have some oil line seepage from the oil top line that I still have to figure it out but other than that everything is working!
So grateful for this video am going to start removing turbo on Monday awesome video have experience with modding my b5 s4, I have a question for everyone who has done this turbo removal When turbo is out is it easy to remove the downpipe?
Hi - is the actuator arm supposed to be easily movable by your finger strength back and forth when the ignition is off? Mine is really solid and I'm wondering if the actuator motor/internal gears are broken.
I was told at the shop that my waste gate was rattle and need replacement, I’ve been scared to drive the car in fear of ruining the engine. It’s a 2018 golf r, wondering if it’s the same as your 2019 set up.
Your v-band bolt likely broke due to the extra nut on the back (well that coupled with being a torque to yield bolt). For some reason people add a second nut instead of simply using a thread locker.
Looks like a left hand threaded nut. It's a good solution for the v-band not to come loose but you have to remember to loose that nut before the v-band or...

Loving all of these videos and details. Really helps me visualize and plan out mods for my own '18 Golf R.
I want one of those scissor jacks pretty bad. Awesome video, brings memories of when I did the IS38 upgrade on the Mk7 GTI.
Love the labeling technique for all the hardware, I do the same thing on a whiteboard laid down on the table.
A well worthwhile watch. Good shots and detail and practical narrative. Tks
I thought the pillow comment was a joke at the beginning but you werent kidding! Awesome video! Cant wait for the next one
I dont exactly know what im looking at because im so new but man, your videos are so underrated lol

Excellent video, excellent speaker, very professional 👏 Need info on how to calibrate the wastegate, did you make a video for that?
Hey, how did you pry out the oil return line from the block once the bolt is removed.

Do the valve actuator orings need replaced? If so, do you have a part number or some specs?
Thanks for ghe video
Did you switch to 5w40 when you Did your turbo swap? Or should I just stick to the liqui moly 0w20
You posted this 3 days after wee attempted my buddies and got stuck on that oil return line on the turbo lol.
Did the video help at all since you just went through it?
Vband clamp bold snapped because someone put an extra nut on the end to lock it. You needed to remove that first.
What brand/which stubby allens and triple squares? I want to add them to my tool box
I actually did a video on them when I got them. Links are in that video description. They have been great!! ruclips.net/video/Hc5mLBcmemU/видео.html

Yeah I noticed that. I tried to loosen that nut as well, but I think the bolt was too far gone. Oh well lol

It can only be removed from above…
He means not having to go under the car
@@guillaumegregoire-gauthier1449 you don’t need to go under the car for it. It’s just a clickbait title.
