Shao looks really good in this game, I'm usually a shao main but I've switched to Reiko because he's new to me and he's like if shao never picked up the hammer
i legit had no clue that shit could be plus. you have to hit it EXACT max range and its plus 1. from that range its not super useful to be plus by that little, but even it being zero essentially all the time is amazing. truly a cracked button

Someone tell Max to try out Stryker with Havik. Because holy shit I think he's even a better fit than Cyrax. Although you can't combo from 22 or 11 into db1 with Stryker, you can still do it from f12 and b22. You also get insane oki after every combo, a +6 on block 22 frame overhead, a +1 low, better zoning options (although sometimes I prefer the net for counter zoning) and even more damage than Cyrax since he provides less damage scaling. I think Stryker is the next meta after Cyrax, I really do think so.

You should try havik/jax, you get some cool combos from jax kameo into db1 with good damage that ends in ex roll not to mentions dirty setuos from jax unblocakble
What if these fighting games added more of a screen size zoom in and out mechanic to make room for bigger characters ( like slightly bigger than Abigail) Nothing as crazy as Smash Brothers. Imagine being being able to play as Diablo in the next Killer Instinct. Could add more dynamic movement and zoning into the equation...
I would think devs are interested in ideas and new approaches to their games. Im inclined to think that many of the "leaks" that happen in this industry are intentional so the devs may get some insight on the way their product will be receivedby the consumer. That is also one of the reasons for BETAs. Sometimes innovation happens from a suggestions in unlikely places. You might not think the idea but there is nothing wrong with sharing ideas. That's a part of discussion, or in this case "chat". Did you think it was a bad idea?
Max is doing something wrong when he calls havik away he has to have something better then jumping and hitting his opponent twic knocking them back full screen
kinda feels like this game is devolving into a guessing game of high and low attacks. i never really feel good when i win, i kinda feel like i just got done doing a chore after i won lol. its very weird.
It’s kinda easy to know when you will get hit with a high and low. Maybe not the first match, but after two matches you will definitely figure out how people play with certain characters

I think because his frames and a lot of folks did not use him people assumed he was bad. I could give folks a run for their money. You really just have to know how to use him. Psyche people out

Uhh this shao play is nothing special as a Shao main take it from me he did very little optimal anything. Just spammed 222 and it worked out, no 50/50s no oki set ups nothin. I'm not impressed but what do I know lol
If it is consider skipping your command grab as a finisher for combos and instead finish with something like 223 or 22 DB3 or whatever variation depending on scaling at that point and using unarmed stance for what it's intended for which is pressure and mix up. Especially with Lao its decently strong.

Shao’s come a long way from being bottom 3 for all of MK11’s lifespan, now he’s been promoted to perfectly solid mid-tier.

You should try Kung Lao and Havik, the spin could help you extend combos and the hat can give you more mix and zoning.
Max playing Havik is something of a wild dream man, love to see him playing more unusual characters. Would be cool if he tried Rain.

I think the route he's doing is actually optimal for damage. That air string does a lot of damage.
