For clarificaiton on Sukuna's barrier and Maki, since the translation was kinda stiff, basically, Sukuna would have had an easier time with a regular closed domain, but that wouldn't target Maki, so he had to go out of his way to make it a more complicated open domain, even though its more complicated and he's hurting, because in an open domain, Maki can still be targeted in the same why he targeted the buildings in shibuya back in the Mahoraga fight.

You missed the rare Miwa W. Maki cannot use cursed energy so there is Miwa besides her performing a simple domain enduring the malevolent shrine.
Edit: another thing this is the first chapter where the black box before Fuga was shown and it translates to something along the lines of "stove burner" or "furnace" Sukuna really about to cook in his kitchen.
The official translations call it “divine flames”

The translations for this chapter was very weird, but just to explain the domain was just his normal domain but the narrator also explained why he couldn’t do a closed domain cause he wouldn’t have been able to trap maki, the translation makes it seem that he like combined which he didn’t😭
We finally find out what Sukuna says before "open" and the flames come out.. "Furnace." It seems Sukuna's true technique is related to cooking, or him being a chef. Dismantle and Cleave are knives, and the fire is a furnace. I guess we didn't get this before because it would have spoiled what his technique really is? Perhaps we'll really get in depth about it next chapter. Great video as always, glad to hear you're doing alright!
Nah you're not misinterpreting it. It's a full power Malevolent Shrine, but keep in mind he used binding vows to make it go full power. So right now we know Sukuna has a binding vow for the world cutting dismantle and Malevolent Shrine.
Also, yes Sukuna was forced to use the flame technique on Yuji. He's about to go all out well he's forced to go all out now. haha
Is it really full power though ? Like making binding vow means u already had to sacrifice something equivalent to make it happen + Yuji himself told that the shrine is incomplete and we saw the shrines eyes bleeding.
I don't think so its the prime domain from a 20F sukuna

@@MadaraUchiha-gf6kv I'm just basing it off the panel that says it didn't lose any output, so basically it's still a full power Domain but for a limited time only. Gojo's Infinite Void couldn't survive MS since the slashes attacked the outer shell of his domain that's why he switched up the conditions of the outer shell to extend it's life span.
If I remember correctly it took 3 minutes and 9 seconds before Gojo's Infinite Void broke and they only need 99 seconds to endure Malevolent Shrine so their Simple Domain and RCT could handle it.

This was a fire (pun intended) chapter. Look at the malevolent shrine abomination, hobbled together with duct tape and binding vows 🤣🤣
But seeing Yuji and then the whole squad hit that simple domain, that was my fav part.
I think it’s important that Gege said directly that Sukuna could not get RCT back after Yuji’s rush of black flashes. Don’t get fooled! Sukuna is sweating because he can’t heal himself, so he’s trying to end things quick!
Sukuna had reduced output and no RCT, but he did hit 5 black flashes himself. Black flashes restore cursed energy, he had the CE with little way to use it since Yuji reduces his output.
This is similar to how Mahito got his final form in Shibuya, but he was still suffering from internal damage from eating black flash before he transformed.
I think this is like when you fight a video game boss, and the last 10% the boss enrages. We’re at the endgame imo, this is showing Sukuna is realizing he’s in trouble and that he might be cooked if he doesn’t end things NOW.
(Also yes, that’s the flame arrow that cooked Jogo and Mahoraga in Shibuya)
12:33 Btw I'd like to mention that the hand sign that Gojo, and Sukuna here used is the Indra hand sign. I'm not caught up on all the lore, but from my understanding. In Indian mythology, the hand sign is basically meant to represent the strongest. So Sukuna using the hand sign, while it was because he couldn't use his original hand sign. (Since it requires two hands) I definitely think that it was meant to symbolize how now, Sukuna is the Strongest, as we've never seen him open his domain, dince his fight with Gojo.

The "Black box" when he used the Fire Arrow against Jogo was just the word being censored, so now it's revealed the name is Furnace or Stove, which means every Cursed Technique Sukuna has is related to Cooking and a Kitchen.

Btw, the flames being called "Furnace"(not DiViNe FlaMEs, like the official mistranslations are calling it) confirms that his CT is cooking(meaning "Malevolent Kitchen" might not have been too far off lmao), and yes, these flames are indeed the Black Box/Fuga that he used against Jogo and Mahoraga, meaning we officially have a name, "Furnace"
Honestly, I like the idea of replacing "Dismantle" and "Cleave" with "Fillet" and "Dissect"(this is what the anime called them) cause it seems more in-line with the whole cooking CT and motif Sukuna has(I mean, he literally called Gojo a fish on the chopping board and said he is going to peel his scales, he also eats humans, it just makes sense)

By "furnace" they also mean "shrine". The word used in this is "Mizushi, Fuga" which can translate to "Shrine, Open", or "Kitchen, Open", the "Furnace" coming from the latter. The "Shrine" is also referred to as sukuna's technique and there are plenty theories about this.
The domai expansion was very confusing for the entire fandom, even the best translators lmao.
Basically, Sukuna used his regular, barrierless domain in order to make sure it would still effect Maki. The other text boxes were just Gege explaining why he didn’t use a closed barrier because it would have forced Maki out of the domain.
The reason why it only lasted 99 seconds is because of how complex his open domain is.
Maki is effected by malevolent shrine, since dismantle targets objects too
I don’t think u noticed miwa protecting maki when they were saying “bear it” a minor thing but it’s one more person to aid the good side 😂 a random one too, but makes sense since she can simple domain

Sukuna's domains output obviously changes with the output of his normal cleave and dismantle. This malevolent shrine isn't any weaker than it should be for sukuna's current state, but since sukuna's current state is massively weaker than back when he fought gojo, his malevolent shrine is obviously no where near as strong too, otherwise, choso's ino's and miwa's domain would all fall apart in moments and even yuji would be in pieces right now
But isn't the output of the shrine same? So that just means yuji and others are surviving it not bcz sukuna's domain slashes are weaker, but bcz they are pretty strong now.

@@gpavitra85 if u check again it's says sukuna expanded his domain without a drop in either his effective range OR output through *uncertain elements* and a *binding vow* this clearly stated that it's the same output. Nowhere did it say its an output according to his current status.
It further said it's a high level domain and sukuna can't maintain it as his current status. So it's higher than what sukuna can manage right now so that must mean higher than his current status output. Sukuna wouldnt go for a domain which is incomplete if his output wasnt high at all.
And miwa didn't maintain the domain for 99 seconds bcz... It hasn't been 99 seconds yet. And ur just assuming miwa still has her simple domain intact when all we saw this chapter was sukuna and yuji and that's pretty much it. Yuji's simple domain is the same as kusakabe who has the strongest simple domain and his still got broken relatively quickly so it's just an assumption that miwa's is still intact.

The slashes stopped bcz sukuna pulled out the fire arrow, not bcz the domain closed.
And as I said, u don't know and ur just assuming it. We literally never saw anyone else other than yuji and sukuna for more than one panel in the domain. U don't know how they are doing right now.
And ur just refuting whatever the narrator said. It's factual that sukuna's domain has the same output but ur refuting it through assumptions. And u also don't know what miwa did in that one month of time as well. This very well could've been what they were planning for, for miwa to protect someone through her simple domain when sukuna pulled it out again. So we don't know what miwa did in the past month.
So in other words, wait for the next chapter to drop so it can clear things up. But for now, sukuna's domain clearly has the same output as the narrator stated it. If miwa has a stronger simple domain than gojo, very well then.
