I just got back from this resort and stayed in that exact same room! A friend was asking me all these questions about the resort so I just sent her this video and happened to notice the room number. What a coincidence!
We will be going back to the hotel Riu Negril from the U.K. for the fifth time since I retired i like snorkelling just of the hotel beech at bloody bay 7 miles beech seems quieter and cleaner but we like visiting and talking to the locals at beech huts at bloody bay Jamaica has just what we won’t from a holiday and has become a second home to us now we were very surprised when crossing the road from the shopping centre at 7 miles beech to get back to the beach bars the traffic stop right away for use some thing that doesn’t happen in the U.K. even when you are on a light controlled crossing you have to be wary before you cross, I guess everybody’s in a hurry in the UK
Loved the property tour! I went during the heights of covid and not all parts were open but they really won me over with customer service more than anything. I can tell you that the food they serve at the candlelit dinners too seem to be elevated versions of some of the menu items in the restaurant. EVERYTHING they served for the 4 courses tasted great. The jerk spot in the day actually does different grill and roasted items too that actually was a highlight food wise for me. But yeah the food was hit or miss for me. But felt like it was a gem, wasn’t over crowded, and service was on point. U literally cover everything tho Amanda 😂. Great review 🙌🏾

Amazing review! How long can you walk on the beach from the resort? Can you walk along 7 mile beach from the resort and walk 1-2 hours? or does the resort have a fence so it is restricted ? I'm a big walker and beaches in Montego Bay are only as long as the resort? THANKS!
We went there 5 years ago and you can walk a very long way. if you google the resort and then get the satellite view, you can walk right to booby Cay / Lloyds hole on the beach which comes to a reef and other resorts such as Sandals. unsure if you can pass them heading west. If you go back towards Azul resort you can keep walking as far as you want to. we did one walk which took us to a "stall/beach shop" which had a display of wooden art including a giant cock, yes really it was huge. That walk was a couple of KM i think but don't quote me. Going back this summer because it is just great there ( the resort i mean) 😄
This was not ocean view deluxe as stated in the beginning of the video. Ocean View Deluxe does not have a bath tub, neither does premium, so it must be royal suite. Thanks for the vlog!
I just returned. 40 of my family attended. The line staff and resort was a 5. Be careful how you run around at night alone and don’t allow anyone to clean your room without mentioning anything that happened. The beach was excellent.
I was there a week ago I would not go back too many flies in the large reception area and the breakfast area too many flies we had to move over from one table to another most staff was ok some was not too warm royalton in Montego Bay was much better the entertainment was not the best, the best area was the spa

The hotel offer some excursions but for the most part they offer transportation to different areas that does the excursions, on the beach there weren’t many places that sell souvenirs on the beach but along the 7mile stretch you’ll be able to find places that do

Stayed there in Dec 22, loved it. Was in building 8, swim up room. Had great time. The entertainment team is amazing.

Yes all the restaurants are free & only the motor water activities have a cost attached to them

Did they do nightly shows and have a decent size venue for them?,& was the liquor actually top shelf & seem to be not watered down like most?..
yes I can say that the liquor that we got was top shelf and the shows tht i saw they had enough space for them

The rate for the rooms varies based on the time of the year and we paid $60US at the time for the security deposit
