This is the sweetest thing I have seen in a while. In the garden, Gina telling her sister how happy she was to have her visiting made me cry .❤️ And I know that pasta tasted glorious !!!
My sincere apologies. Yes, I made that comment too early before watching the rest of the video clip. You are absolutely right, they are both dear sweet people. I watch Gina frequently. You bring so much joy to so many people. I introduced my mom to your videos a few years back. My dad passed away and she came to find your videos a source of comfort and inspiration. She absolutely loved watching you. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2020 and came to live me. We watched your videos often and they always made her smile. She would say what a wonderful lady you are and how much she enjoyed watching you cook and listening to your stories and singing. Watching you helped to take us away to somewhere happy for a little while. She passed away last year. When I started watching this video today my first thought was to share it with mom. It’s still hard to accept that’s she’s gone. I know how much she would have enjoyed seeing your garden and watching you and your sister cook together. Thank you so much (to everyone involved) for making these videos. I am so grateful that you share them with us because they can bring happiness to even the heaviest of hearts. Wishing you the best always 💜
Prayers for your loss, i lost my wife 21 years ago at 40. I Love Gina she reminds me of immigrant grandparents and their families. Especially my AUNT NORINA, who taught me to make a great meat sauce and her younger sister, my Nonny taught me to make amazing lasagna and ravioli stuffed with lean ( round) ground beef lemon rind and ricotta, seasoned with fresh ground nutmeg and mozzarella, pecorino and ricotta cheese stuffed as welll as a few others. Gina truly makes my day so much better !!
I feel the same, this video brings back my mother in spirit. She would have loved these. She grew up on a dairy farm and would have shared in your memories. 🥰💕❤️
It's so nice to see that some of the nuns are still wearing their habits. I went to Catholic school for 12 years and had pretty much 95% of the nuns where our teachers. Thanks to my parents: my mother for insisting that we, her children, were going to go to Catholic School and for my father who worked very hard so that we could go and for the good education that we all have because of the dedication of these nuns as our teachers. These videos are priceless!! My fathers side was Sicilian and this is exactly how they cooked!! Gina and her sister are so lovely, please more of them and the history of their family. Seeing them cook together is so joyful. Please show us Gina's garden more often, it is really amazing!!
Yes! It would be so great to learn more about Gina's family. I am sure there is wonderful history and many great stories there! This food looked delicious and seeing these sisters together warmed my heart. 😇
M my grandmother Maria was from Sicily it's truly a beautiful language sorry to say my dad never spoke to us in Italian now I'm going to school for it and I'm 81 never too late Maria Elena
Nonna Gina, I cried when I saw you with your sister. So many memories of my Nonna with her 6 sisters. Cooking, laughing, telling stories. Good Times! Grazie!
Denise great to read your comments. I was so touched seeing Gina and Lucia. So special that Gina shared her sister with us.Enjoy the visit and share the memories. Like the older people in your village did when they read you stories from the book❤️
This is the best episode! So heartwarming to see Nonna Gina’s excitement at welcoming her sister, showing her cute garden (what a green thumb!), cooking together, and reminiscing about the cheese-making. Truly a most special moment. 🙏
I only found this channel a month ago and didn't know what i was missing. Im so impressed by her garden. To step out the kitchen door & have all you need growing. Like many Italians here, Gina reminds me of my family and seeing her joy to have her little sister visit for 2 weeks is beautiful.
God bless you all 🙏🏽🙌🏽. Nonna Gınna, her Sister and special thanks to you cameraman.👌🏽👍🏽 We all love Gina, but we all love you just as much because through all this years you had been so kind and respectful of her work you always making sure that she feels comfortable around the camera and always making sure that we get every detail on her cooking and delicious food. Thank you so much👍🏽💙🤗 God bless you and your family always and forever. Amén 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Every time I watch Nonna Gina, I tear up remembering my dad's cooking when I was a child and how much I miss those family dinners. G-d bless you Gina, your family, and your lovely sister. Until next time, Ciao!!
Great video. I had a smile on my face the whole time, but toward the end my eyes started tearing up. I have two daughters, and I hope they remain loving sisters and friends, like Nonna Gina and Sr.Lucia, their whole lives. How special to have someone in your life that shares your oldest memories with you.
Right! Its nice that they remember I would love love love to sit in the kitchen with these ladies cooking and hearing stories. I love history especially threw the eyes of those who remember if that makes any sense. ❤❤
Sister Lucia looks like she knows her way around the kitchen, she must cook for her sisters at the convent. This looks absolutely delicious and I cannot wait to make this.
I lived in Sicily for three years and being there completely changed my relationship with food for the better. The highlight of this video is Nonna pulling out a hugh zucchini behind the A/C unit. That has convinced me not to give up on gardening. Pianta qualcosa ovunque :)
The dish looks delicious! I enjoyed your garden tour. So sweet you and your sister cooking together and I'm so happy you can visit for two weeks. You both look alike and are sweet lady's. God bless you both 🙏.
This was so fun to watch! I’m making this tonight cuz I too have all the ingredients. Looks delicious! Thank you Gina! Thank you Sister Lucia! God Bless you both!
That was just adorable. How lovely, and what a blessing it is to have sisters. Great genes in your family! Definitely going to try this recipe, great one for vegetarians! Love from Ireland x

This video warms my heart. I am so happy Gina has her sister here with her, what beautiful ladies. I am going to harvest my zucchini, basil and tomatoes and make this tomorrow. Love to Gina and Lucia. May the good lord bless them and keep them forever in his heart.
Welcome, Sister Lucia! It is a joy to meet Gina’s sister!! I absolutely love watching videos from Buon-A-Petitti. This one was especially meaningful, for I too have a sister that has always been one of the most important people in my life. Throughout our years, rarely a day has gone by that we have not called each other just to say hello and to make sure that we are well. We have so many special memories of growing up in Canada as Italian immigrants, cooking together, and enjoying celebrations with our families. Sadly, this year, my sister contracted a very serious infection and spent four months in the hospital. I spent most days by her bedside in ICU praying for a miracle. The miracle was granted, but she now is immobile and confined to a wheelchair. She is back home, but our times together are no longer standing side by side at the stove to prepare meals. Instead, she watches from her wheelchair as meals are prepared. I pray that she will soon regain her mobility. Yesterday, by some strange coincidence, a cousin brought me one of the zucchinis (trumpet squash) exactly like the one that Gina picked from her garden. When looking up what it was, I decided to check if Gina had ever prepared a meal with such a squash. I was stunned when I came across the most recent video featuring Sister Lucia. I was glued to the screen and smiled at the memories of my sister and I cooking together. I could see that the bond between Gina and Sister Lucia is as strong as the bond I share with my precious sister. Today, I went to visit my sister, and I brought her the special zucchini. I prepared the meal for her. Grandma Gina, you touch my very heart with your loving spirit and genuine charm. You always have a special glow about you that makes me think back to my mother and grandmother. I can never thank you and your family enough for your videos and your meal ideas. God Bless you Grandma Gina, Sister Lucia, and your amazing production team. You certainly make a difference in my life. Thank you for making me smile, reminisce, cry and laugh. I look forward to many, many more videos.
How wonderful to see Gina with her sister making a meal together! 🤍❤ And, I have 3 zucchini and wanted a new way to cook them and then your video came up! Now, I have a great dish to make for dinner. Grazie Gina! Praying before the meal was so touching to see them do, just like we used to do growing up. 🙏I loved listening to the stories of the old country and how St. Lucia used to make cheese and how they all took turns bringing the milk to the neighbors. My beloved Mom in Heaven (born in 1935 like beautiful Gina!) used to tell us stories of how she gathered vegetables in their garden to use for their meals and how they milked the goats etc. as a child in Puerto Rico. Thank you, for sharing! Buona Giornata! God Bless you all.
So nice to see there are still some Nuns left, and dressed so we can tell who they are. Gina everything you make looks so delicious, wish I could see it in person.
This was such a wonderful video! I hope you can do some more while your sister is visiting! I absolutely loved hearing you speak Italian (and didn’t need the English subtitles lol) I miss hearing and speaking Italian with my grandparents and after losing my nonna 2 years ago I feel I hardly hear it or speak it, so thank you 🙏 and I can’t wait to make this later this week because today I made pisadina (pasta con piselli) a favorite with my Sicilian family and my nonnas recipe. So wonderful to meet your sister and watch both of you cook straight from the garden! The Best!!!! Auguri di California! 💜
What an amazing treat today! Having Sor Lucia reminds me of the way I was raised, in the church. We went to mass every morning and my grandma and all the ladies would cover their hair. I love watching you Gina, not just for the food, but for all the traditions that you have and bring to me especially when you sing the church songs while you cook. My mom and grandma would also start cooking by saying, In the Name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Your garden is perfect!! You have everything you need right there, and as a vegetarian I really appreciate the care and work it takes to grow your own food. I will make this recipe this weekend. God bless you and your family, and thank you for sharing Sor Lucia with us!! 🙏🏼❤
I have been crying watching Nona Gina so joyful being with her sister…so wonderful. My mothers name was lucia like her sister. I will make this for dinner tonight in there honor. God bless you both xox
Hi Carey! I love your Videos! I too was hoping that the microphone placement caused the static noise, but I did some troubleshooting and found that if I left the microphone untouched on a table and I just slightly wiggled the transmitter antenna, then the static noise was replicated. Therefore, I concluded that it’s a problem with the transmitter/antenna connection which unfortunately is soldered in place and is not a replaceable part (I opened the case). So, reluctantly it’s time to buy a replacement system. I recall that you liked the Sennheiser wireless system and the plan will be to get that. Thank you so much for the many years we got from using your microphone! It was very much appreciated. Keep making your fantastic videos! Your Fan, Nick
Thank you for sharing your sister with us! I loved watching you show her through your garden and the two of you cooking together and telling stories! And that pasta with all the fresh veggies from your garden....Beautiful! ❤
What a treat Gina and her sister in her garden, I really loved this video!❤️ I loved hearing about the family and the time they shared together, those are precious memories.
I love your cooking,🥣🍕🍝 your singing and your stories. Especially your zest for the way you live your life. A special 2 weeks with your precious Sister. what a special time for the both of you! I bought your cookbook and have it standing on my kitchen counter to show my guests and family.👍👍 God bless, Stay healthy and happy. 🙏🙏🙏
It’s so wonderful to see them cooking and reminiscing about the older days when they were younger and speaking in Italian. Watching this reminds me of being in the kitchen with my mother learning how to make caponata; stuffed artichokes; egg gravy. I also love to remember learning how to cook minestrone soup and red gravy, both from scratch, with my grandmother and peppers and onions with my dad who’s no longer with us. Wonderful and beautiful memories, just like this! Beautiful ladies! 💖💖
This was such a beautiful surprise! Thank you Gina and Sr. Lucia for transporting us all back to your childhood in Italy, the way you move together in the kitchen spoke of many meals prepared for family. Talking about the candy you sometimes got made me laugh, but seeing how happy it made you to be together again really made my ❤️ smile. Thank you also to your sweet son in law for bringing you to us, a bright spot on the world!
How sweet! At the end I just broke down in tears I miss my mom so much! God Bless you and your sister Gina and may he give you many more years of good health.
Its absolutely beautiful to see them together cooking side by side in conversation. I can only imagine how wonderful it was for them to do this together. Thank you for sharing this recipe and for putting a smile on my face.
Hi Grandma Gina!! It's so nice to see you in your garden 😊..I remember the sisters from my childhood..in my neighborhood the children went to catechism every Wednesday for 12 years..I can't wait to make your wonderful recipe 🤗
What an absolute joy to watch you two cook together. I couldn’t stop smiling. God bless you both. The recipe sounds delicious as usual and I will be making it for sure. Thank you for sharing.
This might be the most beautiful video I've ever seen. It brought tears to my eyes. I want to hug them both. So much love to you and your family grandma Gina❤️
Omigosh, I just made this for lunch with the fresh vegetables I had in my garden, and it was so good! Thank you for the recipe, and for sharing your visit with your sister. God bless you both.
Ciao bella Gina e Sorella Lucia!! Gina I can smell your cooking from my house. I love your style of cooking. Just like my mother used to cook. I love your stories. Reminds me of my youth listening to my grandparents. God bless you and your sister. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😘😘😘😘

Mille grazie, Gina❣️❣️. Thank you for sharing your amazing garden! Just planted around your home…. How ingenious!! And I really appreciate hearing you both speak in Italian. I only know “un po” but it’s delightful to hear how words SHOULD be pronounced! We dearly love you💛🧡❤️
Cutest sisters ever....brought tears of joy watching them together. They must be enjoying sharing their memories together and spending this very special time with each other. Thanks for this beautiful video.
I just love your videos!!! All 4 of my grandparents came from Italy so, your videos are pure comfort to me. I am 57 and have terrible rheumatoid arthritis. I love to sit and watch your latest (and past) videos. You're better than any medicine!! Your recipes are delish!! Thanks for making me happy when my pain is so bad. ❤ Juliette in N.Y. P.S. I am the one whose grandfather (Antonino) came from Foggia.😁 🇮🇹🇺🇸

Italian is the most beautiful language in the world, especially with Nonna Gina!

That is not her sister, but Suor Lucia a sister in a religious community.
@@janefb3658 Also her actual sister ❤
My sincere apologies. Yes, I made that comment too early before watching the rest of the video clip. You are absolutely right, they are both dear sweet people. I watch Gina frequently. I learned to not jump to conclusions...I had gone to Boarding School with Nuns aged 4, all called Sisters (Sisters of Mercy) and that flashback was my mistake.9
@@janefb3658 lol we all do this once in awhile ,no biggie ❤
They look so much alike. And the memories of making cheese as little girls. Delightful.
You bring so much joy to so many people. I introduced my mom to your videos a few years back. My dad passed away and she came to find your videos a source of comfort and inspiration. Love to all the Sisters!❤️
So many now are in drip dry polyester …
In Italy they would still wear them. I don't see it here in the states anymore
J'ai connu les religieuses pour finir chez led jésuites ,c'était l'éducation parfaite .🤩💖👋

I love Italians!!!!!!!
Mama Gina is the best!!!!!!!!! I think the noise from the microphone is due to placing it where it was rubbing against her skin as she moved.

Thank you Grandma Gina! I love to see your garden and you remind me of my mom years ago. God bless you and your sister!
Completely ADORABLE! So glad her sister could visit. We have been all over Italy and Sicily and it's never enough. Still our favorite cuisine...
