I have to be the biggest Az Yet fan. These guys are Sooooo underrated, their harmonies are unmatched even compared to Boyz II Men. Bassman Kenny Terry is such an intricate part of this group... His range is sick! I really think that if these guys had a stronger backing, they really could've had the same commercial success as Boyz II Men. I still listen to their first album front to back with no skips.

i have loved them since the day they came out with last night but it is only 2 that is orginial in this group where are the rest of them?? Dion is still so fine he could sing to me anyday
Marc got voted out in late 1997. Apparently (From evidence I gathered) Dion, Kenny, and Shawn didn’t like how he was way too lose to Babyface, especially when he was openly showing favor to him and his talents. On the flip side, Marc loved the attention from Babyface, given that he was his idol and didn’t exactly fight for getting the other 4 members included in more leads, etc too. Darryl stuck with the group until 2002 when they left Dreamworks records (where they signed after LaFace dropped them). Then the group went on hiatus and Darryl picked up 3 guys and started touring as Az Yet too, until 2007. I heard Dion, Kenny, and Shawn took him to court over touring with that name without the other classic members. Shawn got caught up in some drama with Dion, Kenny, and Claude in 2014 and by 2015, they wanted to sign a deal which he wasn’t down with so he gave them an ultimatum and they didn’t bite. So Shawn left. Then the remaining 3 picked up Parrice (Who replaced Shawn effectively) and reconnected with Dyshon and toured as a 5 part group until a few months before this interview where Dyshon left the group again to go solo again. That makes sense since Dion reacted how he did when Delious asked them about that. Funny thing is, I just found out that Kenny (the bass singer) finally left the group a couple of weeks ago so now it’s just Dion, Parrice, and Claude. I’m very curious as to how they’re gonna proceed now. With Dion as the only original classic voice (Who barely had any leads though), it’ll be basically a completely different group without Marc, Shawn, and now Kenny gone.
Funny how Dion and Kenny had absolutely NO mention of Shawn and his role in the beginning of the group. Maybe they did it to not slander the guy but come on, at least mention his role in the group’s birth. Cuz the way Shawn said it happened, he was basically the starter of this group. NOT Claude or Dion. This would’ve been a great unsung episode. I know they only did one classic 5 lineup album, but there is so much history with lineup changes and whatnot between them and the labels, etc I really wish they would.
