Thank you. Looks like Maxcuatro weights much less but like you said more expensive. I had my 100lb Maxcuatro rub on the boat when the fish went under the boat and when the line touched the boat, it broke instantly. Do you think another line would have done better since MC is so thin or would have been the case with any line at the same line class?
It wouldn't have made a difference. Today, we used 20 lbs Maxcuatro to finessed floating down a 1/4 inch jig on 15 ft of 20 lbs leader to finicky and sharp eye Mangrove Snappers and got our 40 snappers limit again. The light thin Maxcuatro really cuts thru the current and makes the presentation very natural. It has the strength to easily fish 12 lbs of drag to haul those snappers away from the sharks.
Hello. You posted on bassresource your spreadsheet and it says the ABS for Berkley Pro Braid 65 lbs was 61.47 lb. Is that the same line as in this video?
Hello Friend. for vertical jigging speed and slow, you recommend this line, i think 30lb for slow, 65lb for speed and 80lb speed using eletric reel, if recommended, i would like to know why. thanks
@@manuelescobedo4343 Pro Spec if you can find it cheap. Otherwise it's hard to beat Yozuri braid for high strength to diameter ratio and dirt cheap price. Best bang for the buck by far is Yozuri Braid.
I use j braid grand on everything from 10lb to 65lb. For my 80lb and 100lb tuna set ups I opt for pro spec. The j braid is much more smooth and pro spec is a bit waxy but works great for heavier gear imo
That's 80lb or 100lb braid you tested. No box opened in front of a continuous recording to compare the line tested with the real thing, so your test is worth the tree bark next to a fly's butt hole. No braided line in existence breaks at 150+% of its rating.
You must be commenting from outside the US. 95% of USA braids break well above their labeled strength. They are not labeled the same way as the rest of the world. For example, most 10 lbs braid break well above 20 lbs, any where from 20 to 30 lbs actual breaking strength. Most USA 20 lbs braid break from 33 to 50 lbs. The title is correct. It's 65 lbs Berkley Pro Spec. I don't have the whole spool. This was a 50 ft sample that was sent to me.
Thanks for testing! I decided to spool my Accurate 600 reel with 65lb and got 800 yards. Definitely helps with my decision on getting the right line.
Seems like it’s heavier than Maxcuatro but also stronger. Maybe would affect fly lining?
perfect system.
Hi what is your link to the different breaking strength for line chart. Also do you like Maxcuatro or this line better?

Wow. Thanks for all of the work you’ve shared with everyone.

The one that broke at 61.47 was a used sample. The user then sent me a new unused sample and that is the line in this video.
@@aquaholiklee Ah OK. You tested the white line it looks like. Do you know if the metered version is the same line so should be the same strength?
@@scottc4498 Berkeley is very consistent so it should be.
How did the 50 lb Berkley pro do fg knot test

At how many pounds did the Berkeley pro spec braid brake with the fg knot (65lb)

All the Berkley Pro Spec line have great strength to diameter ratio.
Looked through your vids and didn't see Seaguar Tatsu braid test. Any chance of testing some Tatsu any time soon?
Seaguar is accurately rated so it breaks at whatever the label say.
Great videos!!!! How did the 50# do?
Broke about 71 lbs
How did the 80 lb Berkley pro spec do on the abs and fg?
Actual Breaking Strength for 80 lb was 115. FG was 73 lbs. PR Knot was 99 lbs.
@@aquaholiklee thanks

Can you test different hook knots, because they are the weakest point.
They are not the weakest point, use fg knot to a stronger leader for this line 80-150 lb
dis line better than Jbraid isnt?
I've been putting j-braid and jbraid grand on a couple reels. Maybe I'll change.

Pro Spec is the top 3 line in terms of consistency, strength to diameter ratio, and knot strength.
