It was a crazy season this year. I went thru Beryl, and especially Harvey. When Harvey came thru in 2017, my area wasn’t hit badly as Houston, Myerland, the Woodlands, and others. When Beryl came thru, me and my family had evacuated to Austin, and when we came back our driveway was a mess.
18 NS is still far above average, and many seasons don't even have a cat-5. Also by ACE, this is a hyperactive season (generally used to determine how active a season is)
Btw the price tag of the basin by my estimate rn is 173B dollars making this season the costliest season since 2005. Milton and Helene caused close to 90B dollars due to Helene’s flooding and Milton’s eyewall striking the Tampa Metro
I’ll never forget Hurricane Beryl. It was awful, My grandparents had no electricity for almost a week and their food got so bad in their fridge. The cellphone towers and the service was down, the aftermath looked like a war zone a little bit. It was awful.
They could, but not in the order that was said. It would require all of the hurricane names in a year to be retired and changed to these names and they wouldn’t all be used in 1 season because hurricane naming lists alternate between Male and Female names.
This was a crazy season, especially the likes of Beryl, Helene, and Milton
Helene and Milton might be retired given how deadly these storms have been this year

@@roberthoyt7921 Beryl , Helene , and Milton are all basically guaranteed to be retired
This season is one to remember
I will never forget cat 5 Milton…
The craziest season ever. Especially with Hurricane Queen Beryl, Helene and of course… Hurricane Milton Grimmes.
This season is one deserve seasons to remember, although not much Cat-5 hurricanes (2) and hyperactive (18 named storms) like 2005 or 2020

ACE score for 2024 was only the 21st highest on record. But the four landfalling hurricanes we got were hundreds of billions in damage
I’ll never forget when Beryl slammed us at cat1 intensity. It was scary.
And now for a new season of Storm Stories: the Next Chapter! (Please Weather Channel!!!!!) Helene would make some good stories!!!
The retired is Beryl, Helene and Milton which replaced with Belinda, Harrison and Mary.
helene has to be replaced w a female name milton with a male name.
Debby may also get binned based on its costly impacts in Canada

This was the deadliest and most destructive hurricane season in decades! And the scariest part is, it could be a sign of things to come.

Could Astrid, Blake, Carter, Diego, Emerson, Frank, Greg, Hardy, Ishmael, Jadon, Kristen, Lenny, Mike, Nolan, Oliver, Patrick, Ryan, Sharon, Toby, Valentina, and Wylie become Hurricane/Tropical Storm names in future half-year storm seasons notably Atlantic Storm season?
What
I had a stroke trying to read this
@@afox1689 Sorry to hear that. U okay?
