Anything less than the death penalty is unacceptable
Yes and no. Anybody who's served time knows you don't actually want him on Death Row. 20 years of appeals, plus we pay for 3-hots-and-a-cot. Give him Life Without Parole, put him in General Population and let them turn him into a woman first and then they will turn her into unrecognizable organic matter closely resembling Hamburger Helper.
Death penalty is a joke. He will suffer infinitely more in general population

That poor mother and sister will never be the same. I can't even imagine the nightmares and trauma they will live with for the rest of their lives on top of all the grief. I just can't even imagine, and as a mom myself my heart goes out to her so much.

The older sister is a hero for trying to save the youngest, even though her attempts were futile in the end. It kills me that he ran back to his mother thinking that was only refuge from that monster. I hope this family gets the justice they deserve.

This case will always haunt me. As a father I don’t know how you could look at your sons and have so much anger towards the mother that you would sacrifice them. Them boys were gonna have such a good life growing up together close in age. May that man get everything he deserves and have nightmares every night. Hopefully his sons torment him as well.

their sister tried so hard to protect them. i can't even imagine how traumatized she's going to be after this. i'm glad she made it out and still has her mother, although it's hard to see any silver lining in something so devastating.
Bereavement is what I fear for such a young girl so sad and tragic for her and I hope she grows up to help others or have all the therapy needed. Poor babies.

Sometimes, in death penalty cases, there HAS to be a trial regardless. So, because of that, the plea is often nit guilty or changes to not guilty before trial.
Those officers arresting him will be traumatised forever . You cannot un see what they witnessed and hope they seek help etc . Huge respect for them .

Idk... Josh Powell might be worse. He had probably already killed his wife and STILL blew up his sons. The only positive is he died too.
There was also a guy in my area that set his house on fire and mowed down his family as they ran out of the house. He enjoyed torturing ppl and bragging about it. Im sure there are lots of worse stories, but before the internet many didnt get told.
Like the lady on my block who picked up her kids from highschool, murdered them, and burned the house down about 30 years ago. She was a 911 operator who got caught having an affair and her husband was leaving her. She was related to my best friend. It was big news in our small town, but no one else ever heard of it. It wasnt on state or national news... just a short article in the local paper.
Shot 4 times ? These little , innocent , defenseless babies ? My heart breaks every time I hear this story .. Praying for mom && the sisters healing && peace of mind 🙏🏾

I can’t imagine having my baby ripped out of my arms and murdered in front of me especially after witnessing the other two kids being killed. Unfortunately, there really is no recovering from that severe traumatic experience

There's not a period in human history where this didn't happen, and in some instances, more frequently. You're waking up from the illusion that was your either lower to higher, middle class upbrginging. Your sphere of information is minute when you consider what happens everyday across the world. Still, the odds that it will ever touch your directly, is small.

And after all of this happened, he was still offered the chance to bail out! How pathetic is our justice system? Sad.
If he did make bail the first thing he would do is hurt someone else... probably kill her mother. Thats what most of these types do.

It was set at like 20 million or something. I can't remember. He'd never be able to make it.
Bail was set at $20 million. He is a day laborer living in a manufactured home. I guarantee he isn't scrounging up $20M for bail or even $2M for a bond. It was probably too difficult to get them to withhold bail since he went peacefully and was cooperative after the crime (withholding bail is intentionally difficult to get since everyone has a right to bail). So the judge did the next best thing, which is to set bail so high that's its unattainable to prevent them from getting out.

This horror went down the Thursday before Father's Day and this was the 5th F/D since my dad passed...I was already emotionally compromised when I saw this story. I've been crying like a baby. These wee little potato bugs deserved the kind of father I had. The Friday of F/D weekend, I was crying and my senior poodle, "Mr. Thurston", just curled up between my chest and my chin and just kept licking my face...

The fact that he came home and told his whole family they had to take a nap with him and they immediately complied, tells you quite a lot. I’m guessing that was never a happy home.

I can't even watch this. After the first details of how he ripped the 3 year old from the Mother's arms emerged, I was sick to my stomach and upset for days. If I watch this I'm going to absolutely lose it. The heartache and tragedy of this is absolutely incomprehensible. Rest in peace, little guys. 🙏 I'm so, so sorry this happened to you. This evil human had no other motive in mind than to absolutely decimate that poor woman’s eternal soul. I’d say he accomplished his goal. I’ve never been so affected by one of these stories that I had to turn it off, but this case has caused me to break down multiple times and put the iPad away. These boys look like my boys, my family, and that makes it more real. I can’t imagine this happening to my own, and my heart goes out to this mother, sister, and every other family out there who’s been hurt in these horrific ways. God help us all.

This is the type of case where if I’m a defense attorney, I’m questioning my career choice. Cuz how in God’s name is anyone able to sleep at night having to defend someone that does something like this?? I would throw up giving my opening statement.

That's been reported for awhile now. That literally makes me sick. I have a 3 year old, (and 5 other children), I cannot fathom- simply cannot even imagine- that type of horror. That is the stuff of nightmares, played out in real life. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Mama ends up in a mental institution. And I'm not saying that in a derogatory or mean way. But I honestly think that's where I'd end up. I pray for her strength and that she's surrounded by love and support every day. ❤️

These types of things make me lose my faith little by little every time it happens. I only have a little hope that god is real, mostly for my comfort, but i know im just a silly coward and thats why i cant let go of the slight faith that i have left. I mean, you just need to have some hope that these young children are alive somewhere else, with hopefully no recollection of what their dad did to them.

There are fathers incarcerated in prisons. They may have committed violent crime, but many still have children. Unless this piece of garbage (can’t call him a human piece of garbage, he ain’t human) is put in solitary for his eventual multiple life sentences, he is DOA when he walks through those prison doors.
