Re: the bridge! I didn’t see anyone else comment, but please be aware of the diverted stream, Michael. The undercut and diverted stream can lead to sink holes. Remove all debris on either side and allow it to flow through under the bridge as intended. The water will gradually wash out its new path and collapse the road above.
yes , you are right , streams need maintainance too and no saying how long that situation has been going on , best get your dad look see the bridge has not suffered , easier to fix a little issue
You're right that could become a big problem, even if only a farmer uses the road you can see there are tractor tire marks. Heavy farm machinery could be flipped over if the road/bridge collapses under it.
I'm on the LNER to London and a lady on the seat behind asked about what I was watching, so I just put my Ipad on speaker and here we are watching your videos on the train :)
Beautiful beautiful land I love the shadow I would love to live in something like that you are so lucky it's a beautiful home I love history I watch you every single day I live in Delaware and I would love to come there keep up doing what you're doing you guys are doing a fantastic job when that place
"Just trees" oh Michael, Joyce Kilmer would be so disappointed! I could look at trees all day so don't you worry about finding more "interesting" things for us to look at! Everything you share with us is a joy and we are grateful. Thank you for another beautiful video.
Whilst Billy & family are on holiday and I wait for Ryan to upload his next video, I am binge watching some DIO videos. Interesting to see where it all started, and I know why everyone wants more videos from Michael. Lots of work to do on the land. Perhaps Michael could do a repeat walk-round this summer
HA! Beware the internet troll under the bridge! Also, the opening sequence was perfectly calming and set my mood right. Thanks for taking us along on your little adventure.
Micheal I’d love to see a map of the property. You’re an amazing artist, if you made a watercolor of the property with all the out building labeled that belong to the property -I’d buy one! I want to come stay (my sister and I are starting to plan it-and we want to stay at your place and Stephanie’s) but I can’t get a lay of the land from your videos. But it would also be good merch for you!
just because can draw does not mean he knows all the topography of the land , map drawing is an art and a skill that has little to do with the ability to draw as such , he said himself he has not walked all the land
Jita'ame suluma -I’m not suggesting he do a topography map. Just a layout so we know what all those buildings are in conjunction with the main house. And some awareness of the land boundaries. As a watercolor-it would be beautiful. All HE needs is an aerial shot to create it.

Yes, this!!! I was wondering if anyone else had this thought! How interesting would it be to spy on those little boars. I think it would be most interesting.
Love love love experiencing your property explorations! Keep ‘em coming. Your music selections are always so grand and majestic, Michael. Gorgeous selections! Enjoy your next adventure! ✈️🛎🎥
Was anyone else really surprised by how light it still is outside at ten o’clock? This video and last I was almost taken aback at the idea of that much day being left that late into the night. It is the kind of place that makes you wish for long summer days though.
The intro with the piano was beautiful. The gladiolas, roses, hollyhocks, greenhouse with grapes & more! Someone has a green thumb. Your chateau & it's setting is gorgeous. The castle is lucky to have you, you can do anything & perfectly! I wondered if that was you on the piano? Loved the tour & seeing things through your beautiful spirit. The land of fairies, the magical scenery, wondering what happens if you go in that tree!! Such a sweetheart! Thank you for sharing 😊
I spent countless hours exploring the woods like this when I was young. It takes me back there. Wouldn't this be amazing to watch in VR?! Excellent episode. Boyfriend and I watch these as soon as they come up.
You seem to know what's pleasing to the eye then u film it. TY. These are the same things I see in the woods where I live. There's beauty in the small things. ROD STEWERT - There's beauty in the silver singing river, there's beauty in the sunlight in the sky, but none of these or nothing else ...to the beauty in my true loves eyes.
Thank you Michael! This historic stone (7,000 year history) was is enlightening for those who love history! Thank you for sharing your family's restoration of this French Chateau. During this horrible pandemic we look forward to hearing and seeing your endeavors. We are also Beatrice Potter fans!

Michael you are a beautiful and lyrical film maker who captures the essence of the beauty and poetry around you even on a simple walk in the country around the chateau 💕
This video had me Googling dangerous snakes and or dangerous animals that would live in small lakes in France and basically the only thing you'd have to worry about is ticks and that is just...incredible. You really do live in a beautiful place. If I step outside where I live I could be bitten by venomous snakes, scorpions, snapping turtles, tarantulas oh and get run over by a javalina. You're extremely good at putting these videos together. The stills, the music, the subjects......all so peaceful and comforting. Thank you for that. I wish I could walk that trail with you.
I spent many childhood holidays in France and I walked through similar forests. The thing you can't pick up is the smell. To me, it has a unique smell. It doesn't smell like British forests. And certainly not like Australian ones. It's so nostalgic to see all this. I so miss France
I love how you make it all magical. Talking of fairies, showing where wild boar bathe.. You transport your viewers to another world. Thank you for taking time to share your beautiful world with us.
After watching today's adventure I just needed more Michael. So, I binged watched the entire advent calendar you did with Stephanie at Chateau Diaries. Oh my goodness the two of you together are hilarious, magical and a little naughty. I also watched your Venice trip (one of my favorites).I won't be surprised if producers come knocking at your door soon. God bless
wow!!! thank you for this lovely video! I loved every minute of it! I didn't know it was still day light at 10pm in France! here it last until 9pm to the latest. beautiful, beautiful! can't wait to see where you will be next week! :)
France time is one hour ahead of England, so it is 10pm there to 9pm in England so it appears to be lighter later. We have been there in mid summer and there is still some light near 11pm and you can therefore stay outside much later when socialising.
I found your videos today and I’ve been binge watching. They are so enjoyable, relaxing and interesting. I needed this so much! Thanks so much. New subscriber. Also love the music you add.
Congratulations Michael on your 150K milestone! I hope RUclips are sending you the Silver Play button award for when you reached 100K subscribers...you are on your way to 1Million 🤗⭐🤗⭐
You love vintage toys too, as well as paint, collect antiques, love nature and love to restore beautiful things(?!) Why aren't there more people like you around? I'm in need of some nice people to talk to ♡
Oh Michael that’s a lovely relaxing vlog, don’t ever stop making them pleeeeez!! I was having a disappointing negative day so sat down and watched this. Just what I needed, a walk in the woods ... it soothed me hugely, thank you! Now dying to know where you’re off today! Love the music you choose too, but I know I’m not the only one 😉
Lovely at the beginning Micheal..with the beautiful shots of the flowers and calming music. The chateau has lovely grounds . You are indeed lucky to live there. Mind your little dogs ..from the adders.
Beautiful shots, moving music and great editing and storytelling, Michael ~ you are quite the music curator! Thank you for taking us on the faerie forest adventure with you. Looks a little similar to where I live in Northern California. Truly magical ^-^ Sending {{{ ♡ }}} !!! ps ~ just curious, is there poison oak or ivy out there?

Stunning Michael just stunning..Your dear cat asleep in the digger..I love the music and your filming... Thankyou for sharing. Such a joy to watch. I enjoy anything you do just do YOUR thing and we will love it Michael as like-minded people xo
I just properly realised that Little Ernest and any future siblings are going to grow up having adventures in these magical surroundings... It's going to be amazing!
I am one of those that love to see behind the walls, etc, how things work, or how things are invented for making things. So these types of videos are absolutely incredible as you took as behind the grounds and my learn so much about rural country life. City girl here, and enjoyed your footage of the grounds. Spectacular, and you were hardly out of breath Michael. 💪🏼 Well done.
Love watching this video because, it's been a long time since I was out in the country. It brought back memories of my Grandma's house.Miss the country side.
Oh, Michael, how glorious. Perhaps a critter cam with inferred night vision to catch a glimpse of the wild boar in the night forest would be in order. Adored by me are your musical interludes you have personally selected which are transfixing me to your beautiful natural forest scenes. You have melted me in a fog of glory. Beatrix Potter would have been inspired to write a whole book if only she could have seen your stunning work here. You have charmed us all.
Thank you Michael, beautifully filmed with exquisite accompaniment; you composed the video as only an artist could. Loved Peter Rabbit. Do be careful of any tickss from the deer as they may carry Lyme disease which is awful. God bless you on your travels.
Out of all the chateau's I feel de la Basmaignee is the most beautiful. Mainly due to the grounds, so lush and dont think I will ever get over the drone shot at the start of your videos of the misty shot. Magical is an understatement - the variety of shades in the trees and light twinkling through the trees.
Michael the opening sequence with you walking and the rays of sunlight seeming to follow you is magical. The clip of the garden are of things that most people overlook. They don’t really focus on the individual things that make up the garden. The beauty right before our eyes. And the music.....to die for. Your videography is superior because you see with a artists eye. Composition is hard to teach. Balance, symmetry , lighting you are superb. Sunrise and sunset lighting is the best. Our wild boar in the States are very dangerous. Please be careful especially at dusk. That’s when they are most active. They can kill a human. You are quite the explorer and naturalist. You enthusiasm is delightful. We really get to experience your expeditions. Thank you. And.....love the hat! I I learn something new every time I watch your videos. Your a teacher. 👍 Whenever the music starts I know we are in for a treat. Your music invokes such a mood. Is the music in your videos yours? It just always seems so absolutely perfect for the situation.
Michael, what a beautiful tour around the Chateau property, so enjoyed by many of us ‘armchair viewers of your vlogs’, thank you. How wonderful if when time permits to organize a two week volunteer ‘clean-up’ for a better water flow for the stream and a walking trail through the beautiful forest.

Do be careful of any tickss from the deer as they may carry Lyme disease which is awful.
God bless you on your travels.
love this! I am in Virginia and very country too. Farm land, woods, streams, but you have fairies and we have hillbillies.
@Liesa Villandre , Hi! I'm from Virginia too! And I totally agree! :)
Love your choice of music ~ so refreshing, soothing. And your filming. *sigh* ☺️
Awww! I love the Peter Rabbit little guy. How special of a gift. And the surprise note in his pocket for you.
I had to pause and laugh when he referred to 60 acres as a "vast estate." Where I live, that's a small cornfield.
If you live in a tiny apartment in NYC 60acres is vast for sure 😃
Out of all the chateau's I feel de la Basmaignee is the most beautiful. Mainly due to the grounds, so lush and dont think I will ever get over the drone shot at the start of your videos of the misty shot. Magical is an understatement - the variety of shades in the trees and light twinkling through the trees.
You should do a flyover with the drone 😃
Love the Tour of the Chateau Lands! The French Evenings are so picturesque there!
love watching, you should get some goats to clear that over grown woodland, they would soon have it clear. Regards from Canterbury.
You should do some metal detecting on your walks you find some cool stuff.
