Michael. My second comment is about your copper beech trees. Again, when I saw them I immediately reacted to the fact that when I was in California in the redwood forests, they refer to the circular growth pattern as Fairy Circles and believe that the circle of younger trees grew from the "Mother" tree which eventually died and left the young trees growing from her roots. Based on the photos and footage Michael's show it seems like it was in Rough shape when they bought it, derelict in a lot of places. I wouldn't be surprised if they bought it for the same cost that a normal middleclass - uppermiddleclass home would cost. I love all the trees. They’re part of the family.
Okay, so I'm officially hooked on watching this channel. Thanks so much to you and your family for taking us on this journey of restoration and exploration of your estate....such a lovely reprieve from the drudgery we are all going through globally at this time. Cheers, mate!
Love this! My husband and I lived in Southwest Belgium for a time about 10 years ago, and seeing all this is bringing back so many fantastic memories!! Keep it up!
Great to find this Chanel whilst in lockdown here in South Africa. Keep making the great programs and as a keen gardener it is fantastic to see it grow. Thank you.
What amazing grounds Michael. How lucky you all are to live in such a beautiful place. You are all working so hard to bring the amazing Chateau back to life. Love your channel. Stay safe. X
Well done Michael, that brightened my evening loads. A good balance of humour, views and information. Looking forward to episode 3.
The Cedar tree is so beautiful, as are the other trees, and actually the whole place is beautiful!! 😊
That view of the chateau from the field! 😍
I simply love this vlog! Very interesting how Michael has such a vast proclivity towards antiques and all things grand. Would love to visit there sometime , lol. Merryll Stephanie Thomas- Cape Town South Africa
Absolutely loved it. I had a good laugh from your skit with Stephanie.❤
I love to see that you take me to see trees! As a 17 year member of Arbor Day, I’m all about trees. If you have to cut one, plant at least two more.
I found this channel just today and I already showed it to all my friends haha its so awesome to watch how you take care of and love this place! And you do all sorts of stuff from cleaning to looking for gold?? I mean what a life
Love the fact that you and your family will take the time and resources to put the chateau back to its French style original, architectural glory. God Bless you and good luck! I’m a fan already.
I just became aware of your vlog yesterday, and I’m enjoying it immensely. You’re in such a beautiful area with such a beautiful chateau. It’ll be a lot of work, but with all of you working together, it should be possible. I love all the humour and the snippets of Stephanie, who I met on Escape to the Chateau DIY. Best wishes to you & your family. 🌈🍀🇨🇦
The real gold in this video is the comedy
I can tell your family will be getting on board with your vlogs and I look forward to more. Panning for gold, old fashioned phone calls, beautiful trees! Oh my I want more.
My goodness, you and Stephanie have been keeping me highly entertained the past two days. You are a natural comedian and a great presenter. I love your tours and tales of chateau life, keep it coming!
Loved your skit with Stephanie

I’m obsessed with this channel! It’s so lovely there! It brings happiness to watch this during quarantine. Thanks so much from the US.
Thankyou.. that was Great! All on total isolation here but what a lovely piece of escapism and to dream of escape we will. x
Yall are a trip! I love your channel...after just finding it today...im hooked! Love from South Carolina, USA
Beautiful trees, they can tell a story, over the years they must have seen so much.
Great video
Dear Mr. Petherick, thank you for this lovely vlog. It is so beautiful there. I felt as though I were accompanying you, your family, and your little dogs throughout. The wildflowers and creek are so pretty, and the gold panning, an adventure! I love the trees. It is fun to think about who planted them, and all the people who have enjoyed them over the years. I think some fruit trees only yield fruit every other year, but I'm not sure about 2 years. I hope the cherry isn't completely gone. The segment with Stephanie was adorable! I completely love both the little dogs. I look forward to seeing your next vlog! Stay well, safe and healthy.
🙏🏻💗🙏🏻
This seems like a dream, honestly, I feel like this is a perfect movie filming spot😍
I love your videos so much! Looking forward to Friday!
